Very very awesome. I like that a bit better than the originals. Great incorporation of colors and placement. Keep working hard man, it looks amazing.

Really like it all man, looks great. It all flows together rather well. It looks pretty realistic and functional too. I like the layout and how it seems to have life. Really good job man.

The only thing I might work on is adding a little bit more color. It's good to stick with color schemes but it seems rather gray other than the green of the Vespene stuff.

posted a message on Help With Ability Actors and Ability Models

My guess would be to make the abilities separately... don't use duplicate or anything like that. Just use add object and for the new levels copy the info from the first level, then just change whatever you want changed. My guess is that would work. That's what I did for my custom snipe ability anyways, works fine for me, has its models and everything.

If that doesn't work I would know what to try next but I'll look into other things while I continue editing abilities. Maybe I'll come across something more helpful.

Yes, but I figured it out.

If you could, I was looking for something similar to the ability you're describing, and I could make use of that ability if you're willing to share. I'm trying to create a Zombie game and I was thinking it would be cool to have my Zombie units spawn from the death of a regular unit. That is only if you're willing to share your work, if not then I'll try and do it myself. Not real good with triggers though, hahaha.

More like all you have to do is delete the glow meshes once you import him and you're done. However, the importer is screwing up his animations for whatever reason, so I can't re-export it unless I redo all of the anims.

Oh alright, well maybe I can figure it out from there, thanks for the help =D

Normally this post would contain said Archon without the glow stuff. Sadly, the importer currently does not bring in his animations so I can't export it :(

If I'm understanding you correctly... you possess a model of the Archon without the glow stuff? If so and you can't export it, could you tell me how to make the model without the glow stuff?

posted a message on Archon Model

So I've been trying to figure this out for a while. I've been trying to make use of the Archon because I'm creating a custom and I needed another Protoss hero. Anyways, the problem I'm having is I want to get rid of the bluish aura that surrounds the Archon. I want to make it go away. I've tried everything I can think of, from Data editing the model to looking for animations and deleting them... not having any luck.

So I'm wondering if anybody here has anything else that I could try, or if there's nothing that will work without getting a model editor, if somebody knows a good model editor that I could use to get started on this process.

    Thanks in advance.

If it's a melee map you should not force people into a particular speed, you should allow them to select whatever speed they want in the lobby.

Yeah, it was just a speed increase for the purpose of testing.

Thanks to everyone for the help, I got it figured out due to the information you guys provided. Thanks again. When using the Galaxy Editor and hitting the "Test Document" function you can go into the menu and choose the game speed to be faster. Then you can always change it in the lobby once it's published.

posted a message on Question About Game Speed

So I'm sitting here trying to create my first legitimate StarCraft II Melee map. I've got the basic layout down, starting locations and everything needed to make a map run. I loaded it up to start play-testing it (doing a play-test myself before I get anyone else involved) and it started just fine. Units can move around fine, but they're moving slow, the whole game is playing on Normal Speed. I'm wondering how I set it so that the map can only be played on Faster speed.

Can anyone help me find the settings for that, I know I've seen a tutorial or two that involve that setting but I can't seem to find them right now. I went through all of the tutorials I have bookmarked looking for it, even used the search function here on the forums. No luck.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided =]
