    Ever considered that they like the movie for what it is, and not because its cool to talk about drugs. Druglords are powerful and reach people, when put into a movie tale, it can be a wonderful story as we all desire wealth and power. And that is what people are looking for in a game when they play it. Not to get addicted and ruin your life, but to dominate or to follow a desired leader. That is why mafia and drug games are so popular on the web. Afterall, it is just a game.

    You might also reconsider dragging people out of the bar to work out your personal issues, as when you expect a gentlemens fight, you might end up with a sharp piece of metal between your ribs, while your "victim" is cheking his aye on the walk home. It doesnt take much to grab a bottle opener when some weirdo is swinging sucker punches

    I don't know where you are from, but in Holland it is legal to smoke a joint with you buddies. No harm in that, none of my friends have any problems with addiction. Some friends of mine took LSD and Coke while going to a club, they are all fine. Working normal jobs, doing Joga and sh*t (ok, maybe there is something a lil off about them).

    How about morphine or so called steampacks, who knows how many soldiers have suffered addiction from those. How about alcohol? It seems to me that there are much more ethanol addicts than drug addicts... So i can't make a game with a "bottle of vodka" in it? Guns, how many innocent children have died from gun violence? Should i replace all guns in my map with flowers and butterflies?

    Oh yeah, love the comments. @Soul, well, at least your brother would enjoy the idea then. You do know that it's ur own choice how far u go with that stuff. Dont act like he was a golden boy until big bad drugs robbed his innocence. But yeah, it might it a good idea to rename those into something less extreme.

    I have recently started worked on a project Mobsters and am searching for people to help me out. Help in any field is welcome. The map is a 6 player open city map, where you will be harvesting crystals (minerals), and transforming those into different substances that can be sold to the local population. The map also includes many other mini missions and quests. Players may choose to team up or to be rivals. Progress is saved between the games with banks, unlocking missions, units, items and abilities with higher levels.

    Possible Missions: -Eliminating competition -Dealing Steampacks -Transporting a package -Protecting a convoy -Setting up a researchlab -Planting explosives

    Well, as my team is almost none existent i would like to give it a shot. However, you must realize that even a half skilled editor has a huge project of his own by now. I consider myself to be very good with triggers, as programming in c and java is a large part of my credits in college. I was also creating wc3 maps from 2003. However, i do have my own project that i am desperately trying to complete. Mixed with upcoming exams and work, it wouldnt be a perfect fit. But i am willing to try. 2 is always better than one, right. Also, i found myself struggling with the data editor. Duplicating units, weapons and abilities goes, but creating custom stuff is a bit of a bitch. But hey, i am learning. I do, however, love a challenge. The reason my team didnt work out is because i found the most team members not being committed enough. Because as uve mentioned, great project require a great amount of work and not giving up

    For a while now, i have been working on the remake for the famous BattleShips map from wc3. It a great project that requires a lot of polish. Therefor i am searching for a few active members who can help us out. For people who are unfamiliar with battleships, its a 5vs5 online ship battle, where you earn cash by killing units and heroes to spend on upgrades, better ships, weapons and other items. Very competitive, very fun to play. Trigger editor, data editor, web designer, all are welcome. The core of the gameplay is already implemented. The map mostly needs more abilities, weapons, items and upgrades. I am also looking for someone who can trigger the achievement system and sidequests. But as ive already mentioned, any help is welcome. Just post something here or mail [email protected]

    If you look at the Drakken Laser Drill, as he begins to channel, you are able to see a targeting actor (red target circle). It has something to do with the weapon, but i cant figure out how to add this effect to other weapons. Anyone an idea?

    I dont see the problem... The screenshot shows compressed size of 3.6mb. You can tripple the number of triggers and variables and still be ok for the 10 mb filesize

    I have copied my item shop, to create a unit shop. Everything works well, except when i try to buy a unit, it tells me that i can't spend the players money. Why does it charge the owner for units but not for items. PS only heroes should be allowed to purchase untis
