Say I want to make a custom doodad for a cave. So say I make my form with 3DS Max or whatever, but then I need to texture it, using, say, the textures used on the rocks and stuff.
Hello everybody! I want to make caves in my map. But making maps with the current doodads is frustrating and inefficient. I'm thinking of learning on how to make some 3D models in order to make better more efficient caves that allow me to do what I want in my map.
I'm just learning how to model, so I'm asking for help.
Any ideas in what programs to use, any place to look, and what method to use? I was thinking making some basic polys on 3ds Max and then giving them some nice shapes and textures with Zbrush, or something, but that is just my intuition.
Ok, so its a SP map so I don't really need to address that, but I'm still unable to make it work. This is what I have so far
A global variable called TutorialEnabled (boolean) which starts out as true
A global variably called TutorialCheck(dialog item) which starts out empty
Now in every dialog I have this: I set the checkbox to TutorialCheck
Dialog - Create a check box for dialog (Last created dialog) with the dimensions (200, 50) anchored to Bottom Right with an offset of (69, 50) setting the tooltip to "Check this to hide tutorials." and default to Unchecked
Variable - Set TutorialCheck = (Last created dialog item)
Then in every dialog, I have a condition
TutorialEnabled == true
Finally, I have a trigger called TutorialEnable
TutorialEnable
Events
Local Variables
Conditions
(Used dialog item) == TutorialCheck
Actions
General - If (Conditions) then do (Actions) else do (Actions)
If
(TutorialCheck is checked for 1) == true
Then
Variable - Set TutorialEnabled = false
Else
But... it's not working, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong (or right lol)
Ok, so I have another question. I managed to close dialogs like a pro, but I can't manage to get the check boxes to work. I want to show a series of dialogs, but if they check a box once, they don't get more dialogs.
I don't know how to make the trigger recognize that it has been checked.
Ok, so maybe too many words in the thread title, but I am wondering about this: I want to put an image in a dialog box, but I want it to have smooth borders, sort of like this:
But I want the borders to be invisible, so the image merges within the dialog box pretty swiftly.
I am not very familiar with photoshop, but I would really apreciate some help in figuring out if

Looks really cool. You really captured the whole ME feel very well. Keep up the good work
I really like multiple gameplay scenarios and you seem to be going for that.

Quite lame that its sounding like an exact remake (HoN already did that), and that they took the Dota name. I expected a reinvention

For example, I want to make an arrow for a tech tree in photoshop. But I want the background to be invisible.
Can this be done?
Thanks

For TutorialEnable? I guess it should have an event, no?

A) This can be done
B) How do you do it
Any ideas?

Nvm, I found a converter and it worked great, thanks!
How does it work, exactly? Is the image now attached to my map, so if I share it, the images will transfer?
