posted a message on Generic Range Actor

I'm trying to create a range on a unit similar to a baneling. It explodes when it dies, and I need a range for that explosion. That explosion is controlled by a behavior (like banes), but the spread area is controlled by an effect on the behavior, therefore I can't use the "behavior range."

So I had to create a generic one. I'm looking through how Blizz does it, and they use an event called "Selection Update (Local)."

Great, well unfortunately, the Galaxy Editor GUI won't let me see or choose a "source name" for the selection update (local) OR any selections. It just says "Any." I've been trying to figure this one out for a while, haven't found anything, so I'm officially declaring it a bug. :)

It might just be a Mac GUI bug btw.

You can see it yourself (or disprove me) by choosing any Range Actor w a "CActorRange" Parent, dbl clicking events, and choosing one of the "Selection Update (Local)" Events, it won't show you the source name.

posted a message on Upgrade Token Crash

Pretty simple, but it consistently crashes the editor.

I'm not sure which link is causing it but.... I have an upgrade linked to a trigger, and linked to a validator. When I change the ID for that upgrade, the editor crashes, probably in the process of updating the validator and/or trigger.

    • edit, I broke both links and the editor still crashes. Maybe you just can't update names of upgrades? I'm not sure.
