    This doesn't work I believe. No matter what I do, I can't make one show up in a dialog. Anyone else experience the same?

    It's a shame, would be nice to have this feature for instance in an RPG map where you would have to input a code to open a door/safe or something.

    Well, but the Editor actually tries to 'fix' it as seen in the EditorMPQBrowser (console: 'browse' ) Map\LocalizedData\ , as there are the "correct" default values available

    So it seems like blizz just "forgot"/haven't the 'time' to implemt the feature to put the LocalizedData actually in the MapMPQ (SC2Map) file as this actually fixes it fully (except Editor related stuff like ( Trigger Editor ), but as ppl are not ment to edit stuff there :x )

    To actually fix it, you can either pm the Author and ask him (nicely) if he would add localization (to atleast the playable map), it's little work for great effect ( http://forums.sc2mapster.com/development/tutorials/1358-misc-easiest-way-to-localization/ )

    or do it by-yourself if the author refuses or just simply wait for blizzard implementation

    Well I don't really need to play through any maps at this stage. I just want the community to be aware of it so they can make Blizzard fix it. :)

    This is The Intersection v1.1 released by JeffQ 11 hours ago.

    As you can see locales are still not fixed. I can't see any text in the intro or in any of the transmissions. This is, if you ask me, one of the major bugs atm that really needs to be fixed, and we need the community's focus on it.

    actually the creator should save it and it should be solved as (so just the version updates) as of 0.13 the LocalizedData LocalizationDatas should match the values in xxYY.SC2Data\LocalizationData, which defines kind of Default Language, but this should only work if your language isn't actually defined in the SC2Component thingy

    Well as I did say in my first post I've downloaded and played several new maps that were saved and released by the creators post-patch, and there's still no difference. So you're wrong, locales are not fixed.

    I've seen quite a few different movement setups in triggers regarding this. I was just wondering what people's experience are with this and what they think the best setups are. Best as in being:

    - Smooth - Responsive - Precise - Multiplayer compatible (4-8 players)

    This is without any camera triggers.

    Do I download a map, exit SC2, open it in the editor, save it, open it in SC2 again, host it, everyone has to download it, open it in the editor, save it, rejoin my game, and then play???

    Like anyone's gonna do that!

    It might not be a bug, but since most map makers won't define all the locales (I think there are about 8 or 9?), they need to change this.

    I'm a EU mapmaker, and it pains me along with several others to play all the great maps here but unable to see any text whatsoever. They need to change it so that if other locales are not defined, it reverts to the original (default) locale. If Sixen has a thread which Blizzard is paying attention to, I sincerely hope he will bring up this issue. There are many people from all over Europe suffering from this atm. :(

    It's obviously possible, just look at WC3's DotA where you have Mirana's arrow and Pudge's hook. I wouldn't know how to do it myself though.
