Don't worry, I'm reading it. :) Just forgotten to log in lately. So many awesome suggestions and balance concerns. Thank you everoyne, very much appreciated! New update coming soon again.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. I did add those resources icons in the tooltips as you suggested. :)
I'm curious what you mean about the "Click to continue" though?
A pretty big issue that has appeared seems to be that players using a certain language client (russian from what I hear) are unable to open the backpack in any way, making the game unplayable for them. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? I'm at a loss for ideas. Is it something in the editor that I've missed?
Hey community :) I wanted to share my new map and hopefully get some feedback. Let me preface and apologise it's only on EU so far. (Update: It is now available in all regions)
There are two kobold tribes in the forest, up to five players on each. The objective is to destroy the enemy tribe. This can be done by surviving the harsh conditions of the forest and outlive the enemy, or simply to seek them out and ensure their utter destruction.
There are three survival stats - warmth, hunger and fatigue - that need to be managed lest you freeze or starve to death.
You gather resources like lumber and stone to make camps, even small villages. You can craft various weapons and armor and learn powerful spells. You also specialize in different skills like foresting, mining, cooking, etc.
To encourage fighting between the tribes, there are quests randomly spawning that both tribes will want to accomplish for grand rewards that can give an edge in the conflict.
As you play you gain perk points that can be spent to gain minor passive bonuses that last between games.
These are the main features. Thank you for your time and I hope you can spare a moment to try it out (there is a tutorial button on the map page, highly recommended). *gives candle* ;)
Sounds great! Good find. I loved the previous Battlefront games. But It's hard to get excited about something on the horizon like this when there's so much other cool stuff coming in the near future. :)
I'm saving my loading screens as .dds files. It is about 4 times smaller than the TGA version of it and looks identical during loading as far as I can see.
Good points, although are you sure gold bases have rich geysers? I opened up a few melees to check and they don't seem to go with that, i.e. they use normal geysers too.
Nice style you got there. :) Could we perhaps see some water too?
I'd have to disagree with the scaling pointer. If anything, make the trees even taller, considering the third person view! Make those trees loom over the protagonist as he strolls through the forest!
Everyone has their own style. Objectively, I think (contradictory, yes) that your terrain looks awesome!

Hello, thanks for the feedback everyone. :) I appreciate it a lot and I will keep working on adding new content and balancing items, spells and such.
I wanted to add that it is now also available on the NA/SEA and TW servers.

I always liked stuff like Ice Troll Tribes, and have for a long time been inspired to make something similar (I also have a strange fondness for Kobolds, but that's another story).

Hurray! Looks like many improvements to the editor. I wonder what the Data Editor will look like now though.

Does this mean I have to start mapping again?

The analyzer was a cool tool. :o Wish I knew of that earlier. Positional imbalance AAAAH!

Hi :) Thought I'd reboot a map I was working on a while ago. Any thoughts on balance / aesthetics and such?
Also, greetings new forum!

Could this "Nydus" thingy have something to do with the marketplace perhaps? Or some kind of Armory for Starcraft :o perhaps regarding maps and such.

While this is very amusing and all, I'm a tad surprised it's still up on these forums.

I started with Java and have not regretted it.
