I'm using the unit model dialog to create a unit select screen and it's works like a charm.
However I want to display alternate models such as black ops/purifier and if the model doesn't have a unit, the dialog will not display it. For example, purifier models are shown without issue but in order to display a black ops model, you'd have to create a dummy unit+actor for it.
I was wondering if there was a trigger-based work around for this.
I reinstalled starcraft on my computer because it was woefully behind on patches since I only use it for the editor.
However, whenever I start a sc2map file, it gives me the message while loading "HotS/LotV license needed to load required dependencies. Continue anyways?"
I didn't have this issue before and when I start a blank file, log in, then open the map file there seems to be no issue. What gives?
Maybe the missile specified in the missile actor is not the same as the one in the action actor. Or if your unit doesn't have the attachment point the action actor uses.
How does it work? I think this is a new field added in during lotv because it's not in the wiki and I don't remember it.
I have a debuff I can apply that I've labeled as a stun. The target unit has a passive behavior with a Behavior Category Duration Factor for stun of -0.5. I thought that this would halve the duration but there doesn't seem to be a change in duration.
Assuming you're editing the correct weapon, change the weapon: target filters table to require structures. You shouldn't need to mess with armored flags.
Make the persistent fire a missile effect instead of a create unit effect. Set missile origin to caster unit and target to target point. Runs a create unit effect on arrival/completion.
Instant ability uses a persistent effect to create a unit at an offset. Or just use the offset field in the create unit effect. Haven't tested that though.
A lot of the void thrasher's animations have some really blinding lens flare. Is there a way to reduce this? I don't remember it being so bad in the campaign.

Use a remove behavior effect and set the unit value to caster.

The issue is probably in the missile launch site. In the missile's actin actor add a relevant method to the Combat: Launch Attachment Query box.

Wouldn't that require 50 unique behaviors on each unit?
Using triggers seems like a neater solution.

I think blizzard just fixed the bug on their end lol

Yeah all of my data stuff is in a separate gameplay mod.

My map does not use any WC3 assets but still has this issue.

Set autocast range to 1 and filter to include self. That way the ability should autocast whenever the unit is within 1 range of itself.
