    Is there any chance you can show me how? I am trying, but I'm not quit sure how all those bahaviours, effects and more should connect with each other to result in what I want. It's complicated and me is uberfailing .

    Hi,

    I am trying to make an ability that damages in an area of effect. The damage is based on the amount of energy that is consumed by the caster (1 on 1).

    So basicly, the unit casts the ability while having 200 energy. The ability causes 200 damage and 200 energy is consumed. Another example: If unit casts ability while having 133 energy, the ability Damages 133 in AOE and consumes 133.

    I am trying to get this working in the Data module, but no succes so far.

    The consuming part works: using the 'Effect - Modify Unit' and change the Vital Fraction of energy by -1. The only thing I can find so far is damage based on the energy the target has (like feedback of the Templar), but not energy based on the caster.

    Can someone help me out here? It is probely not so hard, but at the moment I'm stuck here.

    I put a file on attachment. I placed a Swarm Queen on the field with 2 abilities. Train zerglings and Train roach, both are the default command in the ability Swarm Queen Train. However, Train zerglings doesn't have energy cost en is working properly. The Train roach is identical, but has an energy cost. But doesn't work. You can test it. I put a Niadra on the map.

    Oh yes. I found it. HotS_UnitStatus/KerriganHeroUnitStatusFrameTemplate is the string. I think I missed it, I checked Combat of Actor too. Thanks, Question 1 is solved.

    Someone can help me with Question 2?

    Yes, the unit has energy and can cast the ability. It lays an egg, but the egg does't hatch and doesn't show progress bar of the morphing.

    Hi there,

    First of all. I'm new to this site. My name is Maarten and nice to meet ya'll. :) Forigve me for my English, I'm not a native speaker nor I have talent. ^^

    Ability: 'Swarm Queen - Train'

    The ability of the Swarm Queen Niadra has a Ability called Swarm Queen - Train.

    In that ability are several commands to morph specific units. Like Train zergling, roach or hydra. The ability let the Swam Queen brood an egg which will hatch after a time to spawn that unit.

    My question/observation:

    If I change there the vitals (for instance energy, so when I give the a ability an enery cost) of a command, the eggs won't morph nor hatch. I could not think of a reason why energy cost would influence the morphing of that layed egg. Can someone explain me why this happens and tell me how I can give that ability an energy cost without this issue?

    Hopefully someone can help me with this. Would appreciate it :)
