    Could everybody here please do me a quick favor and confirm something for me? Go to whatever big project you've been working on if you haven't done so already, and test it. Since the patch my map isn't working anymore... Is it only me?

    Some people were able update without any issues. I was able to get the editor going again in less than a minute of loading.

    Looks like the missing models in the doodad layer were not added in, but the misplaced doodads themselves have been removed from the list. Kind of disappointing. There are a few new ones I haven't seen before, such as the Protoss Decal.

    I have view of the Terrain Editor when the editor starts up, but that confirmation message prevents me from exploring anywhere else.

    There are new units in the unit layer... but I can't see what they are called yet. Also all the green icons have been changed to blue.

    Wow, two days with no complaints, I must be doing something right... lol.

    Anyways, here's v.0.1.8.

    Uploaded v.0.1.8

    • Added Powerups: Healing Shield, Fury, and Personal Cloaking. Healing Shield offers 30 seconds of invulnerability and heals you to full health. Fury doubles your movement and attack speeds for 30 seconds. Personal Cloaking cloaks you for 30 seconds and makes you more difficult to hit.
    • Changed the dialog display for ammunition on the Taser and Flamethrower (Label is switched with a progress bar when these items are picked up).
    • Added a team kills dialog to track team kills.
    • Various other minor technical upgrades.

    I'm trying to set up two labels of equal size, one colored primary red and the other colored primary blue, that display two different scores for two teams, that are large enough to fit in a corner of the screen and still be noticed. When I try to apply both a style and color, the color is lost; when I try to apply the color only, its too small; and when I try to apply two styles of equal size that i consider large enough, the list doesn't have two styles of equal size that are colored red and blue (they do have orange and light blue, but the orange is really really orange, and it doesn't look right at all). It just seems like a really limited system full of annoying workarounds. Why couldn't we just choose our own font colors and sizes? Is it really that difficult to set up?

    EDIT: Aright apparently I got a working combination of tags. Both the style and color showed up. XD

    I've been rooting around the text editor for a bit and I'm not finding certain things that should be easily found, such as changing the size of the texts. The styles are almost all identical or really small, and I'm unable to both give a style and color to an entered text without annoying problems. This shouldn't be this complicated, its text, its been done before. Has anybody found a better way to format their text?

    I stay motivated for a project by setting a deadline for it and telling other people about that deadline. Sounds stressful, but it really is a strong motivator knowing that you have a physical end point set up. When you first start, you might underestimate the load you have and will have to move the deadline back, but by doing that you get a better understanding of how long anything you do will take and your deadlines will become more accurate. When you make your deadlines, its really empowering and encourages you to do more.

    Keep the deadlines simple and usually pretty short. Usually I go with about 3 days or so to complete a specific task. Really you should try it.

    • Added Weapons: Reaper Pistols
    • Modified Weapons: Rocket Launcher now fires slower.
    • Improved collision detection. Weapons now only check for collision in the direction they are moving.
    • Added an ammunition display underneath the health bar (only displayed while holding a weapon).

    I don't know if this is the correct location for this post, or if there's some bug report area I missed for the forum, but its been acting a little odd lately.

    Basically the time posts that say stuff like "Posted 1 hour ago" and stuff like that aren't reporting the right time. I replied to a topic over in the map development part of the forum about 5 minutes ago and the forum told me the last post was over 12 hours ago. Every thread has huge times that clearly aren't correct, some are before the forum was even made. Is there a setting somewhere I messed with unknowingly, or is the forum just acting odd?

    I know if I saw this on the list of games I would try it out. Problem is that with the current Popularity Rating system that actiblizzard refuses to change, you won't be getting 100 people, you'll be getting 0 people, cause really nobody is digging down much further than the first page.

    You'll really have to hype the map up to the right people and get a following going of people you can ask to play with you if you ever want to try this multiplayer.
