    Greetings venerable sc2mapster community! I'd like to showcase the terrain for a map I've been working on for about 6 months and hopefully get some feedback about its artistic aspect. I am pretty new to the SC2 editor and this is my first map.

    About the map: I am designing this terrain for a sequel to a map made by Fahquel and Malkavian called Night of the Dead Spec Ops.

    Genre: Horror Coop Survival.

    Current Issues: The map has a LOT of doodads. When I reached around 10k-11k doodads the editor started to delete doodads I had previously placed at random. I lost quite a bit of work before I noticed this was happening. Has anyone ever experienced this?

    Development Recruiting: Just in case anyone out there happens to be interested in my work or shares a burning passion for intensely challenging Coop Survival genre games like we do we could really use some help. Especially in the Data editing area. Our trigger guy is still on board but our data team member is currently MIA.     Misc: I have been putting quite a few hours in every weekend to try and learn more about the data editor particularly about model editing and design. If anyone has some good tips or information to share that would be much appreciated. The more simple the better at this point. I'm pretty retarded when it comes to technical stuff but I can do really good work once I get that part of the process down.

    posted a message on [Data, Actor] [Events + Message] Texture Select By ID

    That was helpful. I think I figured out how to do the Models Tab section but when I got to the Textures Tab section I didn't see a slot field.

    I'm trying to make a specter model with customized textures to make him look darker, have blue or white glowing highlights, have a dark glow or smoke like aura, and have no gun.

    I have the feeling trying to do these kinds of modifications coming strait from terraining might be too far over my head. Is there any chance someone will do an updated tutorial for texture customization?

    I think this tutorial is obsolete. Nothing looks the same and nothing happens when I press ctr shift v. There is no previewer in the data menu.

    posted a message on [Tutorial] SC2 kitbashing in 3dsmax

    That looks really amazing. I know in maps like NotD some of the models have added parts but they don't move in sync with the rest of the model. This makes it look like its really part of the unit. Is the only way to do this type of editing with the Max software or is it possible within the galaxy editor itself?

    I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the model appearance myself. I saw some of the customized models from SC2 Universe and would like to try my own hand at creating some unique alternate skin like models for a map I've been terraining for several(6) months now. I heard there was a video for this but I can't find it anywhere.
