Fair enough I guess.
I'm doing my best to learn a lot of things all at once.
Unfortunately I have very limited time due to family commitments, etc.
I have certain ideas, that I don't want to waste a bunch of time on if they are not possible.
I'm not asking for anyone to give me a step by step run down of exactly how to do what I mentioned, I'm just asking if its possible.
If its a firm 'yes', then fantastic! I can continue planning things based around that. But if its not possible I don't want to waste a bunch of time doing something that isn't going to work in the long run.
I've barely changed anything on the unit, so in its default state you could see what I'm talking about.
its default attack peiod is 6. But even if you lower that to 2, it makes no difference.
I reduced the 'flight time' of the mover, which speeds that part of the attack up, but there seems to be some other kind of cooldown that I can't locate.
Have a look at Impaler Colony and see if you can make it attack 'fast'.
I'm having a problem with the Impaler Colony attack (Subterranean Tentacle)
So I've figured out how to change the missile flight speed, however no matter what I do I can't alter the 'delay' after each attack.
Changing the attack speed makes no difference. I've tried altering a few different values to no avail. After each attack there is a very long 'wait' time before the next attack. I'd like to know how to reduce this, but I don't know what value to change. Any ideas?
Basically I'm wanting to be able to have multiple data windows open at the same time, so I can edit the settings of one unit, while looking at another unit for comparison.
Especially during my initial learning stages, I'm wanting to see how other units are setup to make sure I am configuring things correctly. However having to constantly switch between units within the same window is proving to be a HUGELY time consuming process. I am forever 'losing my spot'.
I guess I'm still unaware of a lot of the content out there.
I find searching for maps and assets difficult as I can't seem to search for maps or assets containing a particular text string.
I'm still very new to all this. Still trying to wrap my head around the sheer complexity of the map editor.
Although I'm very attentive to detail and like to see things through, so I believe I'll be able to complete something decent in time :)
Edit: Quick question. What is the process of pulling unit data from one mod into another mod?
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm wanting to do exactly the same thing.
The thing is I've seen so some units like the Dragoon, Reaver and Guardian around the place a few times. I was certain that these models\units had already been designed by Blizzard?
I've found a Mod or two by other players that have these units in them, but I really don't want to go ripping off other peoples hard work. (Although I'd absolutely give credit wherever it is due).
Is there a one-stop place to get all the missing StarCraft 1/Brood War units??

Just wanted to confirm it was the Benign buff causing the problem.
So many sub-categories, I completely missed that.
Thanks for pointing that one out for me.

That's perfect Stealth!
I was after both sets of information.
Thanks heaps.

Awesome!
Thanks for that Spool.
I have a feeling it is that Benign buff thing by the sound of it. I'll have a bit of a play and get back to you.
Really appreciate your help.

Not really no.
What is "tosh easy mode"??

Is it possible to create an upgrade that completely changes the attack\weapon of a unit?
For example:
Creating an upgrade for a Immortal that changes its attack from anti-armour to anti-light.
or from a ground only attack, to an air-only attack. etc
Thanks :)

Thanks Cacho. I obviously was hoping not to have to resort to such extreme measures.
@Outsider, that doesn't do anything for me?
