So i made a river at the bottom of a canyon, but i also want to put a river above the canyon; But from what i can tell, all water is at the same level... Is there a way to select water individually and raise it? or am i limited in this?

Ahli634 - Thank you for you advice!

Mozared - They may seem like 'noob' questions to you because you are so experienced and that's fine. but I'll have you know I've spent over 5 hours in the editor trying to figure these things out, as well as over 3 hours searching online forums and watching YouTube videos. these 'noob' questions that I've asked are nowhere to be found. I actually already came up with the rock arch idea and that's probably what I'm going to end up doing. but Thank you for your help on this matter nonetheless.

zorbotron - Thank you for your advice! The reason i don't like the mar sara cave entrances is because they are like lava-e-ish and I'm looking for a river to run into the base of a cliff. The look of those caves does not match the look that I am going for.

Thank you Hobbiedude for your help!

you pretty much told me what i already suspected but i needed a second opinion.

Now I'm curious to see players' cave and bridge designs to get some ideas.

    Thank you for everything!

posted a message on Doodad Downloads?

It may be because i am completely new to the editor and just don't have any idea at all where to find any doodads (probably the case)

But after hours of going through doodads I'm beginning to wonder why simple things are not in them. And that led me to this question: Are there any downloads of player created doodads in CAD or other 3D models? I'm curious to see if there are things like more bridges, caves and things that you can't find in the editor or have to work hours just to create a certain look of something.

    Hopefully I'm making sense.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

posted a message on Bridge Help.

You might be thinking this should be in another section, but atm I'm currently concerned about the "look" of the bridge rather than the functions.

I'm making a more mid-evil type map with wizards, demons etc... and i want an older looking bridge, but it needs to be big and epic! I need three bridges to go across a cliff canyon horizontally. But here's the tricky part; i need there to be walkable paths under the bridges as well. (but that's function)

Basically i want less tech or modern looking bridges. And more of a rustic temple in the amazon type look for a bridge. anyone have any ideas to dress a bridge up? and how do i elongate my bridges? making them the size that i want and need?

I've looked in doodads and read online and from what i can see, there are no bridges...

    • please take into consideration that i also want players to be able to walk over these bridges and to walk under them without camera conflicting.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, sorry if there is already a thread for something like this. i am new to the mappers community. i recently started fooling around with the editor and have been learning as i go.

I'm desperately trying to create a cave at the base of a cliff for a river to flow into... but i can't for the life of me find caves ANYWHERE in the doodads.

Also, i would like to know if there are any doodads or maybe techniques anyone can suggest for creating "holes" or caverns in cliffs for waterfalls to flow out of. Otherwise, it just looks like water is coming out of a solid rock...

I'm a very detailed person and i like things to look as crisp and realistic as possible.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
