Hi, im having trouble with adding a status bar above the model of hunter seeker missile
i want it to show a countdown for a particular behavior
the status bar im talking about is like the "charge up" bar above a battlecruiser when it uses yamato gun
just fyi, im using a regular unit like a marine, but replacing the model with the hunter seeker missile model
i also tried to enable the status bar flags in its actor
Hi, i cant find this monorail background which is indoor before canyon, ive looked at mission 1 and mission 2
can you give me the specific name of the model?
also, is it possible to do it without using HOTS assets?
Hi, the monorail background from mission 2 only moves straight, i need it to move in the direction the Viking is moving, and cant just retexture it since the monorail background is more like a canyon, i need a space background
i have uploaded a video of wat im talking about:
as you can see, the background doesnt move although your ship is moving, causing it to look like your ship is not moving
this is another video where it shows an attached skybox:
as you can see as i have tried to tell u guys before, the skybox will move along with the Viking, making it look like it isnt moving (the stars in the background are not moving)
really appreciate your help, but the problem still exist where "the ship doesnt look like it is moving relatively away from the attached background" so it will look like it is not moving
im bad at explaining this, but do u mind just checking out the attached map in the op?
you will see that the background isnt moving, and by attaching an attachment it wudnt fix the visual problem
yeah, its a data/terrain issue, kinda new here, is there another place i should be posting instead?
i made it so the camera follows your viking when your viking moves
but since it is in space, the terrain aka space background doesn't "move" along with your viking. so it visually looks like your ship isn't moving even tho it is.
i think u would automatically understand it once u check out the map
Just watched the replay. If only they knew how to use airstrike to demolish your siege line ;)
Regarding BCs, it was purposely designed that build BC isn't an auto "win-button". That is you still need to support your BCs AND purchasing mech upgrades. For example, medics to heal your meat shield marines, then your BC's "siege" the enemy marines from the back. Or, if your opponent massed a Siege Tank line, a pair of BCs will easily break that.
You should have a balance of infantry and mech upgrades. The upgrade to Marines (infantry upgrades) really only affects marines+ghosts mainly, whereas mech upgrades affects a larger range of units, such as tanks, wraiths, goliaths, bcs, thors, etc. So if you spend all your upgrades to marines, your mech upgrades will fall behind from your opponent, you'll probably end up losing to a tank line push, supported bc push, etc.
Nothing is made to be SUPER GOOD, because everybody will end up making just that. The balance for this game is geared towards allowing players to use many different strategies and combinations.
PS. not sure if you were using this tool, but there's a scoreboard to view player's upgrades, spell uses, win ratio, current league, etc. you can open it with the top right button

when the ship moves, the model moves along with it, so it looks like your ship is not moving relative to the attached skybox
also, other players would see each other's attached skybox

the background does move, but not relative to your ship, so it will still look like your ship is stationary
