posted a message on Spore Models Into Starcraft 2? Possible?

So, I happen to play both the games Spore and Starcraft 2. If you don't know what Spore is, google it or just go to http://www.spore.com and read up on it before posting here.

I've been practicing a lot in the Starcraft 2 Galaxy editor, mostly with editing units. I've seen a lot of videos on Youtube where people have created their own Starcraft 2 custom models.... This has given me an idea.

Now, Spore, despite running on a completly different game engine, allows you to export creature and outfitted creature models at .dae, or "collada". These model files can then be easily opened up in Blender.

Now, is it possible, using programs like Blender and these .dae Spore files, to actually get one of the Spore models into the Starcraft 2 Galaxy editor engine? And possibly replace a units model with it?

This would probably require the program 3DSmax, which I don't own and cannot afford right now.

But, I have a challenge for you guys. There's no reward for winning this challenge, it's juat a fun challenge. First, aquire a Spore .dae model file, you can probably get one by downloading the Spore trial and making one if you don't own Spore. If that doesn't work, PM me and I will send you one.

So, the challenge is to get this .dae Spore file into the Starcraft 2 Galaxy editor as a unit model. To spice things up as well, if you can, add walking animations, ect.

So, is this possible? Can it be done easily? I think so, so good luck!
