    Since the latest mod update I am unable to open the War3 Extra (GA) file. Every time I try to open it to re save it and rename it, my editor crashes. I tried restarting and it still doesn't work. I also notice that the mod file is significantly smaller than it used to be (its only 600 KB now, before it was much more I believe). Did my download get corrupt? and if so how can I download it again?

    Okay, well I think "tightly done" remakes (where everything is the same) CAN be good for SOME maps, but Im more a fan of loosely done remakes (such as my map) where I add the features I want, as well as the features I know other players want because I listen to all of the people who play my map and ask them what they want. I think a tightly done remake is fitting for some extremely fun maps that got it right dota obviously got it right... there was no looseness on the remake there.

    I've had more players, and gotten my highest yet on top played with my new map using the Warcraft 3 assets which is currently in alpha (ORPG Alpha but a name change will come upon release of beta) and I hit #20 today on NA for a while. I have literally put only 50 hours of work now into it (credit is given to renee in both the description as well as the loading screen for the awesome mod :D), and multiple lobbies were going during peak hours, whereas I have MULTIPLE MAPS where I spent OVER 1000 hours making, and they have gotten nowhere above the top 50 on top played, yet alone had full lobbies fill in under 5 minutes. I think that warcraft 3 remakes are a good idea :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

    Hello, I sill make sure I update both mods and try it again. Also I am in North America region.

    I also found another very weird glitch while public testing my map. My map has almost no triggers of my own, so I know that it's not a trigger I made, but rather a trigger inside the mod somewhere (Note i DO NOT use melee options OR the war3 melee options because I want most of them disabled) But basically off the start everyone starts with 2000 gold, everyone can spend eachothers gold.

    It is as if when your mod sets allies, it automatically changes the state to "Allied with Vision and Spending" instead of just "Allied with Vision". Even when I set the trigger manually to be "Ally with Vision" it still evaluates to "Ally with Vision and Spending" in game when I start it up.

    Do you have any ideas how I can disable this for the mod? my maps currently unplayable because of this one single aspect.

    Edit: Also, Fan of Knives will proc on corpses not just units

    With the newest mod I found that you heavily changed the Creep XP/Gold trigger and experience no longer works. I think you may have accidently deleted part of the trigger?

    Reading the FAQ when I go to the GameBalanceArrayValues(Unnamed) user data type, I can see that there is one instance with 1 index at 0. When I click on this I see Index Id [default] 1 Hero XP Gained - Creep Reduction Table

    But when I click on Hero XP Gained - Creep Reduction Table I get a screen that says ID: Hero XP Gained - Creep Reduction Table Values:

    And the values are completely blank. Whats more, theres NO buttons beside "ok" and "cancel" so there is no possible way to add ANY values.

    Because of these issues mentioned above, the trigger seems to be grabbing NO value, so it's giving 0 experience every time.

    Also when I try and do it by trigger, i am being told that the Hero XP Gained - Creep Reduction Table has absolutely no fields, so I cannot modify it here either.

    How can I go about fixing this myself? Or will I have to wait for another patch before testing my mod?

    Edit: I've even tried to add my own "Fields" of Value to match exactly how it used to be before the last update, but for some reason this wont work either. Im gonna stop trying workarounds on this for now i guess

    Edit #2: Okay I officially give up. Ive found that experience "CAN" work but ONLY once every 3-4 kills AND ONLY if you are standing in a group of 6 OR MORE enemies, AND you must kill 4 of them within a couple seconds. I HAVE NO IDEA why this trigger is acting so strangely!

    I've ran around killed 50 mobs and maybe 4 of them gave me experience (the EXACT same units too) this is very bizzare!

    I guess for the time being for my map I will make some very messy pseudo-random experience giver. Since i've observed that only 1/10 kills give experience, I will just code my own experience trigger and scale all experience by 0.9 seeing as the current system is completely unusable and random

    Thank you very much again for your dedication to making this mod better :) I know it stinks when something that was previously working stops working like this is :(

    I couldn't disagree with you more. I loved warcraft 3's custom maps, and they were much better than "most" of the starcraft 2 maps out there. PLEASE everyone remake as many good classic Warcraft 3 Custom maps as you can and dont listen to this guy!!

    Inventing new original stuff is exciting, but 4/5 times you spend a thousand hours on a map just so Starcraft 2's Shitty as FUDGCICLES popularity system can shut you down and Shitake mushroom all over your dreams. I gave up on trying to make original maps because too many starcraft 2 arcade players are casual and cannot comprehend more than 1 instruction at a time.

    With this being said, I am currently working on a remake of an open RPG from Warcraft 3 because there are literally only 1 or 2 decent RPG's on Starcraft 2 right now.

    I think the community needs to go in the == EXACT == opposite direction as the OP intended. I think we should be reviving our favorite maps instead of trying to reinvent new shapes for the wheel of fun (and the wheel of fun I am referring to here is Warcraft 3 custom maps because they are inarguably much funner than most Starcraft 2 maps, and we need more maps like this availiable to the arcade).

    Well Im going to end my rant and attempt to get a lobby to test the alpha version of my remake of a Warcraft 3 ORPG map, and I must say it is the most fun i've had playing any of the maps I've made since Warcraft 2 to now.

    I found a bug. When I am far away from a shop and right click to sell, my hero will run to about 3 range away from the shop, the item will be removed from his inventory, the yellow +X gold indicator shows, but I don't get any gold!

    BUT, if I run up close to the shop and click it a few times to hug it, i get my gold from the shop. Im pretty sure I noticed similar behavior when I was playing War3 Lost Temple the other day too

    How can i modify, and/or remove triggers from the mod? I have the Use Subviews open and I've located the triggers i would like to edit, but in the trigger editor the values are all grayed out instead of green, and the names of them are all green instead of black, and I cannot modify or delete them. When I right click one, I have no options besides copy, view, select, and export (nothing useful to me). Is it possible in any way to edit these triggers?

    Okay so the changes cascade, that makes it easy to modify! thank you. I have another question now, I think it should probably be in the trigger section but I'll ask here because you seem like you know a lot about mods and dependancies :)

    How can i modify, and/or remove triggers from the mod?     Hello, Let me start by saying that I am using the War3 Mod (GA) by Renee, but my question is a general one about mod dependancies.

    Does anyone know how (or if it is even possible) to modify data from a Mod dependancy from inside of the of the MAP using the mod?

    I expect that if I open the .SC2Mod file I could (probably) edit the data without a duplicate being created, but this would be undesireable.

    I have my map properly depending on the Mod, and I have ran it and the terrain, abilties, and units all work properly. The problem I am facing is that I would very much like to modify the default data provided with the mod such as the life, damage, etc. of units, but I am running into a problem. Every time I attempt to simply modify a field, the map will create a COMPLETELY NEW duplicate of the unit, and then assign it my stats. The problem is, since I would like to modify pretty much EVERY warcraft 3 unit, behavior, effect, item, etc. that my map will have an EXTREME amount of unnecessary overhead in map size, because HALF of the data I'd be using would be essentially redundant if I continue going about this.

    If there is a silly little option hidden away in the depths of the leviathan called the Starcraft 2 Map Editor to allow modification of mod dependent data please let me know! otherwise if I will have to modify the mod directly before having my map depend on it, also please let me know!

    Im sorry but I'm not quite sure I understand :P I have homework brain from doing 8 hours of homework straight today, but Im a little confused about allowing XP gain from hostiles to persist after level 5. I have located the trigger that does Creep XP / Gold in the War3 Extra library which is the trigger that adds experience. But I'm a little confused about how to remove this restriction in my map which uses the mod. Seeing as I am unable to modify the trigger directly itself in the library, is there any other way of overriding this besides writing my own identical trigger adding a unit death event, where I simply modify the if hero level < 5 line to be if hero level > 4? This is the only idea I currently have to get around not being able to modify trigger libraries.

    I noticed that the Pendant of Vitality which adds life works correctly, but the item from the mod that doesn't work correctly is the Mindstaff item. It adds both 200 to the current and max vitals.

    Thank you Renee. I also noticed something while I was playing around with the far seer hero using your mod, I found that for items that add a set amount of energy (staff of brilliance adds 200 energy and an energy regen aura) the stats are added to both the maximum AND current energy such that if you are at 0 out of 600 mana and you pick up and drop the item 3 times, you will get to max energy. I believe that this isn't intentional, and I'd love to know if you have any ideas on how to prevent this automatic stat gain from happening!

    Edit: Also, I read earlier that someone was having a problem determining how to get heroes to level up past level 5 while killing neutrals, and they figured out how to do it without saying it publicly :( I would like to know how to do this as well so if anyone knows, let me know please!

    I have located the correct behavior (HostileSurpressXPGrant) but whenever I try to modify this behavior it creates a copy with my new stats, it doesn't directly modify the original behavior. Any ideas how to remove this XP suppression on heroes?

    Edit because this is solved! The dependencies were downloading, but I just wasn't sure how to locate them. here is how you can locate and open downloaded dependencies encase any noobs like me would like to know:

    Got to File->Open...->Battle.net.

    Search for the mods, press Open
