    Hmm maybe the splat idea is not so good. I was thinking along the lines of terrain deformation , except it changes the texture of the terrain. Not loads of layers of splats.

    Hi there, yes kind of like the molten in D3. Wouldn't the way you are suggesting suddenly change the texture of the ground?

    Hi there. I have been looking for away to make a marine (for example) to make a trail when it moves.

    I do not want the trail to blend in very quickly. The map we are making could last up to 1 hour long but i want the effect to be more of a long term visual thing. When the marine is walking on agria green grass, i want it to very very lightly change the texture to agria dirt. I hope to give the map a "live" feeling. I already have created terrain deformations for large explosions and that, I am familiar with creating and editing actors and events. I am not the best with triggers but if someone explained it well, I can attempt.

    Also, I plan to give it to all the units. Vehicles with wheels will have a slightly stronger effect, but still very light that you wont notice its happening if the game only lasts 10 minutes.

    Hi there. I am having a bit of trouble creating new units since the patch. My problem is, for example if i want to make a custom marine. If i duplicate the marine, then rename the duplicated marine to "marine test" it will change the original marine to "marine test" as well. It is the same when i change the name of the duplicated actors/effects/guns etc. When i create a new unit and base it on the marine it will do the same. Is this a bug or a settings problem?     Thank you for the response :) Yes thats what i thought i had to do :( now to go through 45 units and abilitys adjusting costs. But before i do i would like to know if there is away just to set one definite cost instead of all this adding to the ability.

    Hi there. I have a very weird problem with my buildings that morph. It is to do with the cost.

    For example. When my factory morphs into another factory (with different model/texture) and the cost of the 2nd factory is 0. It costs -150 minerals and -50 vesp gas when i play the game. This can be said with most buildings that morph.

    I tried fixing this by going into Technology Resource cost and changing it to give 150 minerals and 50 vesp gas. Instead of making it free. In game it says it costs 300 / 100 and when i morph it cost me 450 / 150.

    I am so confused right now.... Where have i gone wrong?

    Is there away to do it without creating any behaviors or effects? when i select the "Fire bat - Viral Plasma" Behavior i set the duration to 3 and stats period to 0.5 Then i edited the "Firebat - Flame Thrower (Damage) " to "Combat: amount = 20"

    Shouldn't that do what I want?

    Hi there. In the marine barracks i have placed this in the events. Everything seems to be okay which is what confuses me.

    Sorry fixed it. I made a mistake i nthe morphing to actor :) Also if anyone finds this same issue read this topic on this forum http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/resources/tutorials/881-data-morphing-buildings-guide/ . It is easier to understand than the one i read. Anyway

    Hi there. I am having trouble with morphing a building into another building. I have made 2 custom buildings. One barracks that spawns custom marine and the academy spawns a custom ghost. The actual process works but its the changing model. When you are in the marine barracks and you click the upgrade to ghost button. The building progress bar comes up and when it finishes the barracks disappear and model for the academy does not show up. It is invisible. The building is there though, i can still spawn the ghost.. I followed the steps here.

    My starcraft 2 is updated. I clicked help > repair in the sc2 splash screen. I cannot find anything on google to fix this. Can anyone help? Thanks Marc
