    Hi, anyone know how to add make that footprint visible? I mean, I'm creating a TD and I would like the player to see the footprint of his towers so he could plan his maze correctly.

    Ex.: Tower in Split TD have a square base.

    Ok... so... if anyone ever read that post, I foundt the problem. The Footprint (Unit - Movement - Pathing) prevents the unit from changing its facing and as far as I know, there is no way to make the ability use the turret (is there a way?).

    As I'm doing a a TD, it is a huge problem, I need footprints to prevent units to walk between my towers...

    Any idea to solve this ?

    Hi,

    I had that problem for few weeks now. It seems I can't find a solution and it's REALLY bugging me.

    The issue is quite simple. I want to use the Plasma Blast ability (an ability similar to Yamato Gun) on an Auto Turret... but it doesn't work. I take the very same abiilty and put it on a marine : no problem at all.

    Before you ask, the arc of the ability is already set to 360. Even there, the marine is turning to face its target and I don't get why he does that if the arc is set to 360. Weird, uh? So, it could have something to do with the facing, somehow.

    Even there, I tried to create a trigger that make the turret face its target whenever it uses the ability. Not helping at all... so... there is something more...

    So, it might have something to do with the "ability charging". I can modify everything about the ability, but I can't find how to edit what is relative to the "charging" of the ability.

    PLEASE, SOMEONE, HELP ME!!

    From what you said, the first option is the most probable actually because I know range is just perfect. But I still don't get how to add the turret to the unit instead of only its weapon... never saw any option for that.

    Yeah, I tried the chase flag, it gave no results.

    I have the feeling that this "channel" before the ability starts need the turret to face it's target. But I don't know how to do that... it's really weird...

    Hi, I want to make a turret use Plasma Blast, an ability that charge just like the Yamato Gun before firing.

    That ability just don't work on the Auto-Turret (even if it works with marines and other mobile units). It's like the turret is forever searching a target or something like that, the ability button become white, but nothing happens.

    I've set the Arc of the ability to 360, it still don't work.

    The only way to make it works is to check "Transient" in the flags of the ability, but when I do that, it shoots directly... I lose the charge effect and I want to keep it. Is there any way to make that work while keeping the charge effect ?

    I'm really lost, I've been on that for few hours and I really don't find it...

    Well... I changed the arc to 360 and there isn't any validator in the ability that require the caster to face its target.

    Still don't work. I'm pretty sure it have something to do with the turret being unable to face its target or something like that... but I can't make it works. The best would be to use the turret of the unit to cast the ability (in fact, I thought that would happen)... but it seems that turret can only be linked to a weapon.

    Hi, there is an ability in the editor called Plasma Blast, it's related to HybridC and does about the same thing than the Yamato Cannon.

    I want to ability to work on a turret, so I removed the mana cost from it, added a cooldown and put it on the turret. But it's not working, the turret just freeze there, trying to channel the ability and doing nothing...

    I know the modified ability still works because the Hybrid can cast that very same ability without problems... so I really don't get why that turret can't use it. Anyone can help me on that one please ?

    Hi,

    I'm using the Xel'Naga Artifact (assembled) as a structure in one of my map (Terran Warfare). But whenever a player gets one of those structures, he gets an icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. It looks like a link to the unit, not really additionnal informations.

    I would like to remove that button/icon... but I don't know how. Can't find the link between that and the unit... I looked at all the tabs, I just don't get it.

    I want to turn it off.

    Well... I used "Duplicate" instead of "Copy" just like grenegg suggested. It improved the situation a little bit...

    Now, I have the green plus over the head of the unit being healed with the sound. Still no green beam... and more interesting... the sound and the green plus never stops, even when the unit is fully healed and when the healer is far away.

    Hi,

    I want to create a "shield healer" just like the Preserver in Desert Strike.

    So, I just copied the "Medic - Heal" ability, changed it to "Preserver - Heal". I copied the "Medic - Heal" effect, changed it to "Preserver - Heal" effect. Then, I changed it so it regens shields instead of life.

    Now, when I test it, my preservers do the job very well, healing the shield of all near allied units. The only thing is that I don't get any visual effect for that. No green beam, no plus on the target... nothing at all. I would like to change those effects eventually, but I can't even find how they are linked to the ability (or the effect) and how to change them.
