posted a message on Besieged - my new 2v2 melee map!

Hello everyone! I've come today with my new melee 2v2 map. I'm as always more than happy for feedback and/or some bug reports. Most of all I wish everyone fun playing my map! ;) You can find it on EU servers by just typing 'Besieged' (the full name is Besieged: Wild West (BETA)). Below picture of map itself.

EDIT: Updated image with starting locations for clarity.

posted a message on Resizing existing minimap icon.

    Hello everyone. ;)

I come to you guys with a simple question. I'm making a map utilising a lot of xel'naga watchtowers and the minimap is kind of crowded with watchtowers' current icons. I wanted it resized to about 60% of the original icon but the data editor doesn't include such an option. What can be done about it?

Thanks in advance for all help, Merode.

PS. Actually, I'm not using watchtower's icon but ripfield generator's one (because I like it more). Unfortunately both are the same size.

posted a message on My first 1v1 melee map.

Hey guys. It's me Merode and I come to you with my first ever 1v1 melee map. I know the map isn't really good (at least I wouldn't expect it to be) and the whole concept was kind of wrong, but still - I would like to hear from you some constructive feedback so the next one will be better. Keep in mind it is beta. You can find it on EU battle.net by searching for 'Apple Pie Beta'.

    Thanks, Merode

posted a message on Importing custom unit from campaign.

    Hello everyone!

I'm new to these forums as well as to mapping. I'm working at the moment at my first SC2 map and I have found two obstacles I can't solve myself. I know this questions might seem easy or noob to you. I wanted to use a unit from the campaign in my map ("Scientist" unit, you can see in few missions, for example Castanar). I tried copy pasting it, trying to do something about it in data editor - nothing worked. I have completly no idea how to import this unit to my map. If any kind soul helped me I would be more than grateful. My second problem is with forcing NPC critter units to roam in selected area. I don't want unit "A" to roam whole map according to its own will, I want it to roam exact defined by me zone "B". I tried working with Regions but it didn't work well for me. Any idea how to make it?

Thanks in advance for all the answers. ;)

posted a message on GATEWAY_DOWN Error

My ISP isn't the best in the world with my upload speed 0.15mb/s (according to speedtest.net), but I don't think it should make me unable to upload 1.3mb map! It starts uploading, immidiately goes to 81% and stops. Then, after 2 minutes I get "Gateway Down" error. It seriously sucks.. 2 minutes time limit is some kind of joke..
