    Going to give some quite easy suggestions that might make your terrain better, seeing that you pointed out you don't have that much time on your hands:

    @City:

    • The gate could be made more clear with the addition of a 'Valhalla base door' or 'Space platform cliff door' doodad.
    • Could be quite tedious but the buildings in the commercial part could be spiced up with some more billboards.
    • Some decals around the structures in the military base to make them fit in more, curves at the corners for instance.
    • 'Avernus barrier' is a good filler for areas with high yield minerals and vespene gas, no big deal though.
    • Hiding the metal arches bases in the cliff by lowering them.
    • Cars, people?
    • People wont notice the vespene tank at the gas station from an RTS view, consider making it another variation with visible vespene tubes.
    • Try mucking about with the HDR for those bridges so they match the colour of the roads better.

    Did you see my reply about my decals map by the way? I could give another alphabet a shot if that's what you're looking for.

    And one last thing: Great work! :D :D :D

    Oh, what do i have laying around in my terraining files, if it isn't a map with the alphabet written in deacls and the UED eagle aswell. It doesn't use any custom models just ALOT of decals, so you can't scale up/down the decals but i was thinking about doing several sizes for everything and some diffrent fonts aswell, and ofcourse some more faction symbols. If you have any requests i might give them a shot, already tried creating some 45 degree angles. Will probably post this in its own thread on the terraining forums after i get more things done.

    Inspiration was what i remembered the planet Sargasso being like from the Ratchet & Clank franchise, swamp and structures made up from mainly white and yellow metal. Will probably try to incorporate what you said into the bottom layer, also really like the mat of vegetation idea.

    You misread me: If you have a doodad, double click, alter 'Height' or use PageUp or PageDown as shortcuts. If you have a unit, you're screwed.

    Tried PgUp, PgDn? Should change the height, but not having a field for it is strange. Also even if several bridges look alike their footprints are diffrent, so make sure to try out which ones have correct footprints, can't remeber on the top of my head.

    posted a message on Issues I'm having with my Azeroth Wars Styled map

    Increasing map bounderies and textures is unfortunately pretty impossible but there is work arounds: For a bigger map you would need to scale down all units, zoom in the camera, make the camera move slower and increase the texture resolution. For extra textures i've heard DrSuperEvil mention you can assign splat models custom textures, i'm guessing these don't blend well so perhaps try and use them for artificial terrains mostly.

    posted a message on HotS- Now with Levels!

    I think it's good that Blizzard has listened and are making improvements. But that almost all the new AAA games must have this kind of system to keep players motivated symbolizes something quite sad about the way games are going; Low effort and high award to keep the casuals entertained. Wouldn't worry about StarCraft becoming 'casual' per se though, already proven to have a high skill ceiling and depth, unless they screw that up.
