Alright guys, I've got my missile firing and all is well EXCEPT that it's doing some weird movement issues.
My Terrain is all just deformed height custom pathing applied. My missile works fine if I'm shooting it on level ground, but because im using the Persistent with an Offset trick to get it to fly a certain range I cant specify the Z height that the missile needs to fly to, so it wants to go down every time.
So if I shoot my missile and the Offset is off the side of my terrain, the missile hits the ground and slowly slides towards the custom cliff edge.
Anyone know a way in the data editor to make a missile never change it's height or orientation and make it fly straight on a 2D plane?
At this point in the game you really need to treat your maps like actual games, publicity is the key to a maps success.
If you market your map to the masses over the internet on not rely on the popularity system to get your map to the masses you'll be fine.
I know it sucks and it's not how it should be, but the fact of the matter is that their system is broken and you've gotta do what you've gotta do to get it out there.
Mods are loaded into maps, basically they are DATA ONLY modifications that you can save and import into any map you want.
So you make a new MOD in the Galaxy Editor.
Save it.
Open a new MAP and import the Dependency ( Your MOD )
And the map will have all the data available from the mod.
That would actually make sense, I wasn't sure how that field was effecting things. That offset is where the missile is flying towards then correct? I'll just lower it a bit and try that.

Are you using any Random Number generation?
When you test a map I think it defaults to a static number for random generations which you can change in the preferences.
Only thing I can think of off the top of my head why stuff would be failing.

Have it apply Suicide to the missile when the damage effect hits the enemy unit.
If you need an example I can upload my map :)

Nope, I ran into this problem. It was mentioned in a Blue Post that they might add in a function for it.

I was thinking about something like this!
How do you plan on doing the Saving?

It's really hit and miss man, depends on your connection to the community and how well made / fun your map is.
Your map is a badass idea and looks really cool, but is it going to make people want to search for it on b.net? That's what it boils down to.
If you're getting people who say nothing but good things, tell them to show they really like it and go play it.
But I do understand where you're coming from, I despise the popularity system. I hope things work out for you.

Doesn't exist yet, I haven't seen any shared unit control trigger functions either :(
Team Melee was my Fav from SC1, sucks they don't have support for it.
