The game might seem a little overwhelming at first but once you take the time to learn it becomes even funner. Definitely challenging! GJ on finishing it up it looks like you put alot into this.
well this kinda reminded me of a calm before the storm. I like to call it " get the f%^& in the house the dogs look hungry" haha ss from a map im working on hope thats ok
My background- my husband got me into games from wc3 about 2 years ago and at the time had my own business designing and selling fabric ( yes totally random) . Since then we have sold my business and during the downtime of kids and family I started teaching myself the editor on SC2 after I got hooked during the beta playing it. I love the draw or " create " things and I love learning new things so..... I have started with terrain and and hopefully working my way to do modeling , re skinning etc where I feel like my real talent lies. I love doing the terrain though - the bigger world maps the better. Its a feeling of creating your own little world to me usually complete with a storyline already in my head.
Its not really weird to be a stay @ home mom doing this if you took a look around. We are a gamer family in many ways - 4 computers and all the consoles pretty much .My husband has his regular career but is a computer geek & website mastermind. Even my 6 year old knows most counters on sc2 ladder already that he has learned from playing or watching us play.
I'm obviously not doing it for the money , like most of the other posts i read its because its an enjoyable hobby.
Thanks for doing this I really love the Ashenvale tileset. Just even playing with it I think the " land of giants" looks kinda neat even when i tested in game
Fully finished terraining for the new map War of the 12 Kingdoms. Using the largest map size possible its hard to get each area to look unique but I really like the way it turned out. If you used to play the game you will see I tried to make the feel cohesive to the color like the original. ex: Pink = Undead , Green = nature & trees etc. Let me know what you think please! I am still new at the Galaxy Editor and have learned everything on my own and alot thru mapster:)Pics are zoomed out to try and get whole base- I have more detailed pics on my site and in game pics
i drew the same concept with a twist from the original wc3 game

2nd map I recently just redid the terrain for irok2002 for his Genetic Lab Wars 2 Map . Very fun to terrain and i cant wait to see him finish as the gameplay looks very fun! his project page
I will go back to playing SC2 you guys go back to watching MLp.
All i want to do is play a game of SC2 now and kill the apeshit outta something . Thats right kill, slaughter and vaporize in my best girlie voice i will be screaming DIEEEEEEEE. So thank you for that.
To each his own so sorry if we made some pony enemies. I need to stick to the mapping community where i belong obviously not the OT thread of stuffed animals, love and magical times.
meh didn't mean any harm, I truly thought this was a joke until I realized it wasn't ........As a female I know about MLP prob more than most seeing I was a child once . Seeing it as a topic with a few pages here on the mapping community caught me by surprise and made me LOL more than anything. Sorry for insulting those cute little things. Now when I think of MLP as an adult this is what I think of LOL
I've got three maps terrained with data/coding catching up and would like to help out, if you like my work, just let me know and we can schedule something. I will only take one or two side projects at a time.
