update 9.13: Zerg has been added to the game, simply choose your race in the lobby prior to starting. Terran has received the Science Vessel.

update 9.16: Protoss has been added.

Power Grab is a strategy game based on securing an economy and bolstering your forces. Vespene Geysers are scattered across the map and you must capture them to gain gas income and unlock technology and new units. With several unlock-able units and abilities you can decide just how exactly you want to crush your opponent, be it teleporting infantry or mechanized war machines.

The game starts with a few workers and a handful of marines. You are given a small starting economy and are going to want to build a couple refineries and a mineral depot right off the bat. Power Grab still has a macro side to it, though it is not to the complexity of most typical RTS games. There are Vespene Geysers scattered evenly across the map, which when built on each provide 8 Vespene Gas per minute. Mineral Depots operate the same, only they can be built anywhere and produce 10 Minerals per minute. It's good once you get economy started to throw down a Barracks + Engineering Bay to begin your technology and army production.

The map is relatively strait forward with symmetrical engagement locations, and a few directions to approach from in most of them. Infantry units are cheap so the gameplay ramps up a bit once player begin to move their small mobile armies around the map. Most players armies are going to consist of just marines at first, and likely add Medics, Firebats, or Marauders shortly after. However it is possible to get more defensive technologies such as Structure Armor and Bunker Fortify to enable you to tech quicker to higher technologies such as Mechanized Tech, and Aerial Tech; or just take a quick infantry upgrade advantage.

As soon as you start the game you will notice the map is designed with great quality in mind; with both the artfully crafted environment, and well planned accessibility of technology. The map is designed as a 4v4 Top vs Bottom battle field. Each team containing a side lane player with a high ground advantage to his adjacent opponent.

Work with your allies to take control of the battlefield and establish forward bases to rally units to the war zone faster and maintain control. Positioning is everything in Power Grab so keep in mind the angles of attack as you pressure your enemies.

Make the right decision and combat your opponent with the proper equipment. Whether you need to break a siege line with blinking Marauders, or burn alive a battalion of marines with Firebats, be sure to know what your opponent plans to stay one step ahead of them.

Power Grab has a great deal of depth to it, so have fun and explore the unit possibilities while uncover practical strategies with your team. Whether you choose to play defensively, and gain an economic advantage; or open aggressively and put the enemy on the back foot, you are sure to enjoy yourself in this brand new strategy game.

How to find Power Grab? You can currently find Power Grab on the first page of the Arcade Strategy section.

posted a message on Help! Players won't spawn in order!

Im working on a custom map. Would any of you know why for any reason the first person to be invited into the lobby would be sent to player 3's spot? And why even if the player is moved to the other team, he still spawns with player 3's units causing unequal teams?

I have my map variables set and my player properties, but when i test my map 1v1, the other player spawns in player 3's location with player 3's units, and it happens regardless as to when I move them to the other team before starting or not.

Something weird, my map was working fine for a handful of games, then one game I let in a spectator and after that the game is incorrectly spawning players again every time I host it after. O_o Is something broken, how can I fix? Perhaps randomly assign players start locations at the start and align positions to alliances? How do I do that?

tldr; What should be player 2 is spawning with Player 3's units, please help!
