Would it be possible to move the chat to the bottom left as in Pictionary or Mafia or a couple of other maps? It can be totally distracting when people chat.
Okay guys, I really have to bump this. Did nobody here ever play that map? I tried to find a gameplay video or something, but was unable to do so. Then I thought about doing one myself, but it'd be hard to find enough players for that these days.
The map was just so much fun, and I'm sure in SC2 it would be even better. More possibilities, more effects and all that good jazz. I see huge potential for it becoming page 1 for at least a bit.
Oh and it does not have to be named "Toy Soldiers", which is a rather lame name. I'm sure one could come up with a cool theme.
But as a huge fan of your other maps, Rodrigo, I feel obliged to say... that this one is quite boring. :/ At least in my opinion. It's better than Nexus Wars, I'll give it that. :D
Maybe we can play it at mapnight (yes, I'll plan on making it this week!) and find some more fun. My testing parties were not very enthusiastic.
Let's make Wednesday Rodrigoday. Every week he has to post a new even crazier map, and he has to wear one piece of clothing less in each promotion video...
Can you tell us more about the scale of the map, especially the amount of time covered by one game? For instance, could seasons play a role?
Other than that I know that a dynamic weather system would increase the immersivity (is that actually a word) for me hugely.
And I guess 10 species would be a bit sparse for creating a believable foodchain etc.
Poll: How much would you pay for an SC2 Total Conversion?
Less than $10 (38) 81%
$10 - $20 (8) 17%
$30 - $40 (1) 2%
$20 - $30 (0) 0%
$40 - $50 (0) 0%
$50 - $60 (0) 0%
I find it hilarious that there are even options for anything above 10$.
Will this be pvp or will it feature a campaign? Generally speaking: If you are planning on using the marketplace for this, what kind of content can we expect?
I have no problems in sharing the same space with people from different languages. This is one step for a globalized world, or better saying, a globalized Battle.net.
I don't care if there's maps I can't understand. I don't care if there's people I can't understand. I find beautiful to see everyone playing together as a single nation.
While I value the cosmopolitan nature of your post, I myself have a huge problem with different languages in onlinegames, even if it is my mothertongue. Everytime I read "Völlig ohne Beschreibung" I just refuse to even try the map, even more so if the map is called "Träger Defense" (Träger = Carrier... mixing languages? Oh come on!) or whatever.
Why don't you care if you don't understand people? Without communication no unity. English is established as the lingua franca of the internet, and I'd like to see that fact backed up by Blizzard.
This may seem ignorant to some. I am aware of the fact that not everybody had the opportunity to properly learn english. But encouraging the usage of everyones mothertongue divides the gaming community, not unite it.
But I'm really looking forward to it. :) I just had an idea: would it be possible to reserve a skin for a future Cosmos Cup winner? That'd be just awesome! Or maybe you could mention the winners in the help window? I will organize the next CC as soon as the patch is out. :)
In addition, Keyesx, I just messaged Eiviyn and asked if he would review the map. Maybe we will have more contestants next time!

With the wonderful invention that is the internet, what the fuck does it matter where a mapmaker is from? (battle.net regions aside)
"american BORN citizens" like really, wtf?

Just some random thoughts. :)

Sounds like another episode of failnet 2.0 -_-

Here you go. :)
Sounds good with the achievements. I swim in exp tho. xD
Any comment on sudden death mode?

Alright, new version is up on EU and we played quite a few rounds yesterday. :)
The lower cooldown on rock seems very powerful. I'm not quite sure if it is op, most of the others said so. Maybe we should give it some time.
I really love the new singularity thingy, it has lot of fun potential. You should scale its power up a bit though, it is not strong enough right now.
About the antimatter I'm not sure, it is a step in the right direction, but we weren't able to see much of a difference regarding efficiency.
In addition of observer support, have you thought about putting in the sudden death mode I suggested earlier? Also, are more skins possible?
Thanks for still caring about the map, you have a small, but loyal fanbase on EU, don't forget that. :)
