    Im currently creating my projectile system for my map: Operation GTFO

    However ive hit two walls.

    1. I dont know how to use the function to create a MISSILE which includes full use of actors to raise the unit weapon and damage the unit struck. I am instead using a very underhanded and noob method which is using a baneling and its attack command to make it detonate on collision (i have changed the models so as the baneling is a viking missile and the volatile burst FX is a concussive shell blast). If someone could POINT ME TO A TUTORIAL or give a short run down explanation of what to do and how it works i wud love u for ever

    2. I cant seem to get the unit/missile to be created from the marines CHEST at least. I wud be satisfied with that. Instead the unit is created at the feet and by using a change height of last created unit action i shift it up 0.75 units to the marines chest. I tried using a create baneling from point with 0.75 height offset but that did nothing.

    a copy of my tinkering is included so far

    i followed this tutorial in the production of this system (except for the unit turning stuff)

    Alright bro, ill give u a hand.

    Now i wud answer ur question, but in all honesty, ur asking for several things which need a bit of explaining, so instead ill give u a link to one of OneTwoSC tutorials which gives u a rundown on a rpg style based map creation which tells u how to make cameras, how to make it follow ur unit, WASD movement (for ur sidescroller u wud only need SD and maybe W for jump later on (so dont use that button for anything else) and a whole bunch of other goodies. Using this tutorial i myself actually made a sidescroller map (no content, but i made all the triggers etc) so im sure it will help u.

    All credit to OneTwoSC of course (u aught to sub to him, he makes well explained tutorials)

    I doubt anyone will answer me (due to the depth and length required id imagine)... but what the heck. Worth a try, no ones made one yet anyway (so far as i have seen)

    I want a full ADVANCED tutorial on creating a 'click, fire, first enemy hit by projectile takes damage' attack ability.

    Or if it is easier, a similar attack to Raynors Commando snipe ability except only damaging the first unit in that line (if its even possible)

    lol i have no idea if this is the same problem i had but i also had a problem having 3 dependencies, melee, core, and campaign.

    Often my models and data info for campaign wud disappear. what i wud do is move the campaign dependency up which wud move the melee down. If i lost any models or data for my melee dependency in the process, then i wud simply restart the editor without saving the changes to the editor.

    i cant really tell if this has anything to do with ur problem cause ur pretty hysterical atm lol jks :)

    this may or may not help u but either way its a bump

    My in-game scenario problem:

    Note: WASD movement is in use

    imagine this. Super cool alien map, darkness everywhere, u have just been alerted that u can turn ur unit towards where u right click. and in ur joy, u turn on ur super cool flash light, right click, and while the right click is pressed down, u move it around the unit, BUT THE UNIT WILL ONLY TURNS TOWARDS WHERE U INITIALLY CLICKED

    WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF *explosion*

    The real problem:

    (note: some of these actions are worthless, but im using them in attempts to try and fix my problem)

    I have created a set of triggers which do something like this:

    Event: right mouse is clicked DOWN

    local variable: clickpoint

    Actions: Set variable clickpoint to position of world position X clicked, world position Y clicked

    Actions: Move point Face angle to clickpoint (this is the point which is a map reference to where i want the unit to look at)

    Now heres where the problem comes up

    I NEED THE [world position X clicked],[world position Y clicked] TO CONSTANTLY RETURN WHILE THE RIGHT MOUSE IS CLICKED DOWN

    i wud really like some help or its gonna be kinda retard looking around by repeatedly clicking the right mouse button

    no blizzard isnt retarded.... those models were made SPECIFICALLY for THEIR campaign use. they made those models according to their needs and they MAY or MAY NOT have added the functionality to turn of the lights. as simple as that.

    i dnno if anyone else watches the vids on the frontpage, but this SCmapper guy previewed a video of his Collapsable dialogue menu thingy which showed jim raynor commando WITHOUT THE LIGHT

    ask him about it.

    Worst case scenario: he edited the model, in which case u can kindly ask for it

    sometimes u even have to do several things to do one thing

    i only know the answer to both those questions because i made a map following OneTwoSC's rpg tutorial on youtube which i remembered. I'll link u if thats anything similar to what u are doing. hes got all manner of stuff like AI etc. U shud watch some of his tuts sometime.

    well the flashlight models themselves are actually in the previewer just the sphere.m3 model..

    kinda retarded

    but so far as i know, if the flashlight moves along with the model (changes its shape etc) then it is a part of the model. If the flashlight remains stationary infront of the unit no matter what, then it can be remove
