    Ty for the responses, the contest submission for power matrix has the visual i seek, yet the map with the data is not downloadable. I am unable to see how he did it. As of now, I'm looking into the medivac and drakken drill lazer to see if i can recreate their visual.

    Hi, I'm a new member of the site after learning so much from the Map Development section. For this one section of the map I am working on, I have a single high templar and a pylon, connected together by a beam of about 2 range (missile range-wise). The beam would appear visually like a constant electrical flow connecting the two units. As the player would control the high templar, the pylon would follow it around as if dragged by the beam. I need help on two parts. I know the basics of GUI sliding involving timers from wc3, but I would appreciate any suggestions for more efficient albeit not so much more complex sliding systems.

    On the second part, I've only begun to scrape the surface of actors and while I've done a lot with them for single easy explosive effects, I've done nothing of this sort before. Any information on how to make a constant beam connecting 2 units via actors would be appreciated. Ty.
