    haha yeah right? i love maya, but i hate 3ds max with a passion. and yeah in max i assign the texture to the model and everything an i can see it there, but it's inivis in game, i think i need to add a bone to it. i'll try it out and let you know how it works out.

    i believe it has something to do with the sequencer (setting up the animations) but do u know how to export out texture with the models? my models i export dont appear in game, theyre not the checkered balls, theyre just invisible. and when i have gotten them to work, theyre white with no texture.

    hay dude these models look sick, great job with em.

    Im curious what program you use to model/animate these guys with? im currently learning computer animation using maya and i know how to model, animate, and rig, (havnt learned normal and diffuse maps yet) but im curious as to how you're getting these into SC2.

    I have 3DS max aswell, and the M3 plugin but 3DS max is like trying to read chinese to me. anyways i hope you can maybe help me out cuz id love to start putting some of my shitty little models in my maps just to see em in action. thanks again an really great job keep up the good work.

    just a bug, after it renames, going back and setting its name back to normal will solve that isolated event.

    target ability with set effect, in set add 2 "modify unit" effects, one targeting target, other targeting caster. (edit these fields inside the effects, under the target field)

    if what youre worried about is youre triggers not working, you make it so each trigger refers to a player from the player group the variables make. this is the only way to do teams in lobbies, sorry. blame blizzard

    Ubdead wrote a really useful tutorial for game lobby stuff. but where he uses "heroes" u can use it to add player to player groups (teams). hope this helps

    So what does everyone think about a survival map similar to "Island troll tribes" from WC3? ive thought about making one with some RPG elements kinda like Monster Hunter, where u can use items collected from hunted creatures to craft items an armor.

    just looking for peoples thoughts on the game an how many would really be interested in playing something like that

    Hey so i dont know if you're still interested in this, but ive been working on a survival troll map inspired by the WC3 Ice Troll Tribes. it features a realistic mating system with predators and critters requiring them to hunt an eat critters before they can reproduce an males must encounter females and such. aswell as realistic hunger and 'sleep" system. look out for a post on here or on the starcraft 2 map in the near future for its release.

    if anyone can link me to a tutorial on how to go from maya -> to 3ds max -> sc 2 i can start making models for people. i only know how to use maya though. and i have the plugins for 3ds max to convert into m3 format, i just dont know how max works, an how to apply textures, an name animations to work in the game. nice model though =)

    use trigger, make a dummy unit for the command card the player controls. than use triggers to make it so that when player presses button A on dummy unit's command card, the actual unit you dont want them to control will do what you intended button A to do.

    Blizzard will never tell u to take action OR ELSE they'll ban/suspend your account. they just do it, and u can go back an try to remedy the situation, in which case u will know it's legit by the fact that your account is frozen.

    to clearify, u want a unit to change color when it's hit by a damaging effect? if that what you want, have the damage spell put a buff on the target, and make the duration how long you want the unit's tint to change. then in the actor tab, go to events and change it to behavior -> "tint buff" -> "on" and event would change tint to whatever you want. keep in mind this will require you add this event to every actor of every unit that you want the color tint to effect. hope this helps, gl
