Zealot Hockey is an Arcade game on SC2 where you control one skater or goalie on a team of four players playing in real time against four other players. Zealot Hockey which combines fast paced action with simple mechanics and the thrill of teamwork to create a fun, cooperate experience. This game has spawned a thriving community that is played around the clock by both North American and European servers. Zealot Hockey League (ZHL) - Season 5
There is a highly competitive Zealot Hockey scene, with the aptly named Zealot Hockey League (ZHL) having just finished its 4th season. Registrations are now open for the 5th season and the draft will commence on July 3rd. In season 4, there were over 150 league players playing on 8 franchises. In season 5, the league is expanding to 10 franchises and will look to continue to build the success of the past 4 seasons.
Each franchise has 10 senior teams along with 10 corresponding 'Probe League' farm teams to help newer players develop and compete against similarly skilled players. Each season the whole league is drafted by team "owners", who are player captains for their respective teams. An entire season of games casted live on twitch is played out, complete with player trades, free agent acquisitions, and multiple playoff rounds in best-of-5 format.
The Development League (Probe League) also has its own separate matches and entire playoffs to let players grow and gain skill against players of similar skill. Furthermore, players that develop into highly skilled players can be called up anytime to the senior team which plays directly before probe league matches.
