    I don't get it to work im afraid :(. I need a new pc with a better GPU and at least raid harddisks. Will do that in 2014, and than il give dxtory an other shot.

    Concerning quality, I think Fraps does a very, very nice job. The quality is actually a lot better than what I use for rendering (because of file size etc). If any one is curious of Fraps quality recording check the link below. I use Adobe Premiere Pro for editting and rendering. I use the .wmv codec. Single encoder pass, no maximum render quality (to save time), and a bitrate of about 7000. Note that I do not play SCII on max settings.

    I ought to agree too that SCII is still alive because of Arcade. There are many games holding it, aside from the traditional DOTAs like Aeon of Storms or Tug-of-Wars like Desert Storm and Nexus Wars. Problem is, many of those aren't as refined as the others are, or some were left forsaken, like TD Tycoon.

    I'm actually planning something that should bring maps into a more open view, but it's still on a conceptual alpha planning, yet. And, as a hint, it's LOTR related (Gameplay, not lore), but it can transition into RTS, depending on the player's choice.

    Sounds very promising! keep us posted. I'm always up for a new good arcade!

    I think the Dominion will be good from now on.......hell it was hinted at the end of HotS.....with Valerian in charge, and Raynor possibly replacing Warfield as General (my hopes), there is no need for Terran civil war anymore.

    Ye I think the dominion will turn out good aswell. I think the end of LotV will be somewhat similar to mass effect 3 's ending. Where all races team up and fight the invaders who threaten all. That might be an epic showdown :)

    Personally I want a new melee unit from the robotics facility (Thrikodias' Avenger Unit is a great example)

    and for Dark Templars to merge into Dark Archons, High templars to merge into archons and one of each templar merges into a Twilight archon (Archon that can attack and has dark abilities)

    I like the idea of new archon types. But that just might be a bit op since archons them selves are pretty strong aswell. I would just like to see a reaper like units for early harrasment.

    I sure hope you are so wrong here Defiler :p. They should make the brutal campaign atleast as hard as WOL.

    As to not adding any new units, I can kinda understand why. The new units in HoTS gave them a hell of a job concerning balancing. Almost like implementing the DK in WoW.

    Anyway, concerning the campaign. I dont think zerg and terran will get all that much attention. Maybe as some opposing force.

    I'm very fond of the story behind the campaign of SCII. I'm very curious what the 2nd expansion will bring us. We all know it will be a protoss expansion, with a campaign with protoss in the lead and most likely an unfolding story about the xelnaga and the hybrids and how our hero's will stop Utter Darkness.

    I am making this thread to share some idea's of what the 2nd exp. might bring us. For example i'm almost 100% sure one of the final mission will include all three races, teaming up in a final battle very similar to the final mission of WCIII Reign of Chaos. It will be a clash between those 3 races and the hybrids with some ultra xelnaga-demigod monster.

    As for new units, I as a protoss player, think protoss will get some new ground units. Their air units are pretty stuffed. Air-wie they have everything to counter everything. I'm actually thinking of some units that make an oke counter versus early MM pressure. I mean zealots can be kited, stalkers are just ultra weak vs marauders, and sentries cost a pissload of gas. They might actually add a fast unit to do some counter attacks to balance the medivac boost things, and speedlings. I have absolutely no idea what zerg or terran might get.

    Please share your thoughts about the 2nd expansion of scII - Legacy of the void :).

    I did some more tests with dxtory but I found out you actually need a pretty hardcore system. I have a system of about 3-4 years. It had top notch specs. Since DXtory tries to leave your ingame fps at 60 or what ever you want it to be, your recordings will have loads of fps drops making it somewhat unpleasant to view. So if you have an ultra pc go for dx. if it is less good go for fraps imo.
