    posted a message on New name for my game?

    Hey everyone, I made this game for Warcraft 3 originally and it was moderately popular. But I am worried the lame name is holding it back! It is currently called War Ball. Here is the premise of it... 2 teams, 8 rounds, each round one team is on offense and one is on defense. There are 4 different positions for both offense and defense, each round you switch positions. The point of the game is for the offense to get their "runner" as far into the enemy territory as they can, if they cross into their territory it's one point, a bit further 2, even further 4. If the runner is killed in his own territory the other team can score extra points the next time they score 4. The offense earns money depending on how many points they score. They can spend the money while in the support role either on offense or defense. Below are the positions and a quick and dirty explanation of them..

    OFFENSE:

    Runner - Single very fast unit, the objective unit. The rest of the offense must protect and aid this unit downfield. Gapper - 2 of these spawn, they can slow the enemies movement and attack speed, creating "gaps" to help the runner downfield. Linebacker - 6 of these spawn, they are very slow and very hard to kill. They can stomp, stunning all enemies in an area to create holes in the front line. Support - Can purchase a large variety of different support units and build support and "walling" buildings.

    DEFENSE:

    Goaltender - Fast unit, can net units, obviously including the runner. Can not kill a runner on its own however. Center - 2 of these spawn, fast units with the primary responsibility of killing a 'netted' runner and protecting the goaltender. Linebacker - 6 of these spawn, same as the offensive Linebackers, try to stomp the runner or support units from getting to your side. Support - Same as the offensive support, help your team to capture the runner by purchasing units and creating buildings.

    So.. what is a better name then WAR BALL??? It doesn't do the game justice if you ask me, and everyone seems to think it is like dodgeball when they first join....

    posted a message on Stalker Rugby idea

    Ha, I had this exact map in WC3 called "War Ball" which I am making for SC2. Funny thing is I am actually using Stalkers as the runner. If you have any ideas let me know! I am nearly done with it now, just putting some polish on it and some more purchasable units and stuff.

    @Slypoos: Go

    I don't understand how calling "AnimPlay Cast Spell" calls the head-butt animation.. I tried to plug this into a trigger in my game and I did not get the animation. There must be something else that allows "AnimPlay Cast Spell" to work.. Thanks for your reply dude!

    Wow isn't there any more simple way of getting the ultralisk head attack animation to appear in the Ram ability? I can't even figure out how you did it. It looks like you needed to create a second unit when the Ultralisk is charging then destroy it when the charge is done? I am thuroughly confused. I cannot figure out how to trigger the ultralisk head animation for my map on demand.
