The mass discharge sounds interesting but the movie provided doesnt show the capabilities of the ability :(

Well, it was only meant to display the basic functionality. The idea for usability is to keep the colossi from getting surrounded and to help micro them. Very useful against close range units, for escaping and preventing the enemy from surrounding your main army (should work very nicely with cliffs/blockers on both sides).

Oh, the Reflective Shield looks very well executed (I'll take your advice and not read the "hack").

Time to jump on the bandwagon myself. It's the first SC2 spell I've done ever, actually. Nothing too fancy because it took a while to get used to the data editor. I'll try to develop a few more concepts before the deadline or I'll never be able to keep up with the general quality.

    ...................

The Colossus overloads its shield generators, creating a blast that knocks nearby enemies back and damages them. Afterwards, a residual static field remains for a few seconds, slowing enemies in it. Completely drains shields upon use.

Done solely in the data editor.

    posted a message on Hello

Greetings, I'm from Bulgaria, just out of high school and I'd like to join the ranks of SC2 map developers. There, that's out of the way, but I suppose I should be a little bit more descriptive...

I discovered SC2Mapster by mere happenstance, or should I say googling. I was fiddling around with the editor, managing to bore myself to tears with the triggers and decided to look for some Galaxy docs. So here I am, hopelessly drawn to the tinkering side of things. I'm not exactly new to map development, albeit my experience is from Warcraft III, though I never got around to completing a serious map. I had a few developed systems, which I managed to lose almost completely because I was too lazy to back-up.

Programming has always been my greatest interest. Over the years I've worked on game engines, servers, databases, spacial problems, physics, statistics and even some fractal geometry to spice things up, so I guess I'm doomed to be a game developer (I blame you, Blizzard!) I think the Galaxy editor is a great tool for exploring some finer areas of scripting that I haven't touched upon yet and I already have a few concepts in mind. I guess my major target at the moment is advanced AI.

Just so you don't get the wrong impression, coding, as much as I love it, is not my only interest or skill. I enjoy creative writing, playing music, and learning something new every day. Alright, that might be a cause of an even wronger impression ... oh, never mind.

Enough rambling, though. Time to start mingling. I wish you best of luck in becoming a very formidable resource base. And a lot of fun, too, for what other reason is there other than having a great time? :)
