hey, I want to use precise lightning strikes in my map, so that you have to avoid them. So I figured Id import the lightning doodad model from wc3. I read the posts about the mdx exporter, but it seems you have to have 3ds max to make it work? Is that true, or is there a impler way to convert the files?
Does someone know another way to accomplish precise lightning strikes in sc2?
nope, ive seen that. That comes back true of a ground unit can walk on it. I wanna know if theres one that comes back true if you can build on it. With the pathing editor you can make paths that are walkable but not buildable.
I found out you can click cntrl and drag to change the indiviual shape sizes of a region, was wondering if anyone knew an easier way to move, copy and paste shapes of the same region. Other than entering the data manually i mean.
Id like a tutorial that explains hotkeys in the editor. ie: I didnt know that in the region layer of the terrain editor, you can ctrl+click 'n drag to change the shape sizes of a region
That's me =-D I've been playin' blizzard games since warcraft Orcs Vs Humans. When Warcraft II editor came out me and my brother would always make maps for the other to play, was super fun ^_^ We did the same for starcraft pretty much, I didnt really have internet then so I didn't join the starcraft community really. For Warcraft III, once I played online I was hooked. Thought it was amazing the kind of maps people could make and wanted to make my own to, so I did. Excel at the trigger editor, weakness is in the data editor and terrain editor.

My good buddy Nate, he's a computer tech kinda guy, that enjoys making 3D models and animations. Check out some of his stuff if you want http://www.youtube.com/nathanthekiller#p/u. Anyways, when the sc2 galaxy editor came out, I realized I could probably use some help, especially with the data editor. Talked to my buddy, and got him interested ^_^ so now we're a team!

A close friend that lives near me. He's an artist, and I plan to use his art for minimap and loading screen arts. And prehaps anything else we might need an artists prospective on. He may become more involved when the game is released and I force him to buy a copy =-P
So, here's who we're looking for
So that's the team. We want a terrain editor to help us on our projects, which really could be just about anything, cause our interest are of a wide spectrum. If you like making terrain, then you're our guy/gal. If your not an expert at it *shrugs* since you like it, you'll keep making terrains til you are I'm sure. In any case if you wanna help us please post or PM ^_^ Thanks!

Anyone know if there's a condition that asks whether a point is buildable? Or does anyone know how to make a sliding trigger, without using regions?

Looking forward to playing it. Love FFT.
If you could pull off a co-op I think that's be awesome, only thing funner than beating a rpg, is beating a rpg with a friend.
