I get the feeling that by cutting those two out you're losing the purpose of the entire map.
If you don't have them, what's the goal of the game? Sim City itself is one thing, a SC2 map that tries to be Sim City might be fun until you succeed at it once, and then there's no interest in it anymore because its lacking an end goal.
Your map certainly seems to be ambitious, but its using some pretty unique ideas on how to succeed that I'm not sure will go over well, as well as relying on technology that doesn't exist yet.
I'm not sure that's something I could help out with or do on my own.
Black and White still had some combat elements, but yeah, its probably a solid example. Problem is I haven't played it, so it would be difficult for me to handle something like it in SC2.
I can handle most data, as well as triggers, but I'm really lacking in ideas. Most of what I've thought up is implemented, but there isn't enough. There are some large-scale ideas that I have that might require an additional triggerer, though.
There'd be a need for terrain, but its mostly after I have all the gameplay implemented.
Like, looking at the front page of popularity, all I see are a few AoS's or other PvP stuff, some arena type maps, and Defences. I guess the closest thing is the roleplay map, but as far as I understand there's not really a goal in it.
It just seems that most maps are about fighting other players, or fighting with players against AI. On the other hand, I'm a big fan of just playing at making something work, like getting a city to run in SimCity. Is anybody doing this sort of project?
It seems the best way to me to do this is to give players a pool of money, and have them create an army each round. Give them bonus points for any remaining resources at the end of the game.
If you're given 2000/1000, and there are 5 rounds, you can either spend 400/200 each round (or more if you don't want to balance), or try to skimp, beating the other player with skills, not numbers, to gain more points.
I can handle that stuff. PM sometime that you'll be able to look at my stuff, I haven't configured my webhost yet so everything is run off my computer right now, and I'm not throwing my IP around here.
Posting is an excellent way to let trolls know they've won. Between the intentional typos, bad jokes, and general nonsense, you should have been able to tell that you just let this one sink away with only the original message in it.
I liked the buffs to the level skills. The armor was a really nice touch on the hp one. For the marine, I loved loading him with damage items, which meant his armor was low. Adding 120 hp and 1 armor might be worth the 8 damage I'd lose. I'm not certain the mana skill is high enough. The .12 also felt out of place when everything else was .10. I don't think a 20/.2 would be too bad, considering there's a common item (I think its common) that gives 88/.3.
The respawn is too brutal now. Half hp and no mana? I bet the marine can manage because his stimpack uses hp. The DT's speed skill might be low enough cost that he can get the mana in time. I played as the HT, though, and after my first death I couldn't even walk to a friendly base before the minions surrounded me, and I had no mana to attack with or to use the shield/escape spell to get away. I don't have time to test the other two heroes right now, but I don't think I even want to, because the shrine still doesn't heal enough, and once you die you're in for an incredibly rough time before you get back on your feet. So you die often and are too weak to do anything too often. If this is intended, I'd suggest buffing the forcefield again to allow your own hero to pass through it as well. This would let you place it on top of yourself to give yourself a short break from melee creatures as they try to swarm around you. It might cause problems with the Predators being too easy to attack, though. Broodlings too, though I doubt anybody would complain they're too hard to kill. I can't think of any other melee creatures that aren't able to pass through it already. (I realize now I never made it far enough to check if its been changed to let the larger creatures walk through yet)
Sorry, I'd give more input but I died about 3 minutes in while attacking predators, so there's not much for me to comment on.

I had a similar story. I bought the first one, but my computer's specs weren't up to par, so I had to return it.
But enough about BW2, anybody have some other ideas?

My issue is that Mafia is still about getting the other guys killed off. Its a very elegant form of PvP, but its still PvP.

Somebody made a Harvest Moon map, then dropped it.
I started work on a version myself, but couldn't find anybody to help. I fear there's no love for this genre.

Where do you find Legendary items? I've only seen up to Epic.
