hm I ended up using Progammer's workaround, since it visually it almost looks the same, except for a very quick animation jump. I do however really like the other input and will remember it for another time :)
Does any of you guys know how to reference to an actor attached to a certain unit? I'm asking because I have a trigger that picks every unit in a group and adds an actor to them as an effect. Then whenever one of the units in teh group triggers an event that units specific attached actor should be killed.
So I looked up the complete hero tutorial to find out how to make a medpack item, and did the thing step by step (the health kit part) However whenever my hero tries to use the item it asks for a target? :S Isn't it supposed to simply heal the hero using it?
I'm sorry to keep bothering you, and you've already been a great help... However I think you've misunderstood where I'm stuck, I realize what teh validator would do and how it works (atleast in such a simple case) What I'm asking at this moment however is how i simply actually add the validator to an effect, I don't see any "validator(s)" field under any of the effect types, sorry if you missunderstood
Yes i realize theysort of work like conditions do for triggers, only for effects, however when I'm in my damage effect, how do i apply it to this effect? There is already a premade source unit to target unit cliff heigh validator in the editor, I'm guessing I just need to apply it
Sorry to reivive an old thread, but I'm having the same problem and I've already set the fracion to 1, share range to 100 and sharefilters to allow allys and player, however the xp is not shared? :S

Can anyone make this work? Atleast when I try to do either remove or kill an item that is currently in an inventory nothin happens :S

it does it does, yet still calls for a target?

Correction; THe item is instant, I see nowhere under the effect that says either target or instant type, it says modity unit under type

Quite possible, but I still don't know work to do this, never worked with validators before, didn't even know they existed :P
