Oh and, you know what, your idea is an AI/script controlled minigame, mine is a player controlled round-robin full scale minigame. I think its safe to say that we'll both have rather different minigames :) so don't let my map stop you from doing your thing in any way.
Thanks again and good luck! I'm really looking forward to your map when its finished!!
Sorry Vjeux, I wasn't very clear.
I meant under my project's information, is there a specific place to mention the published realm? Like how I can select the map's category, localization, etc...
Currently I just included that info in my project description, I was just wondering if there's a better place for that on the site.
And its really great that Blizzard will be enabling cross-realm! I have a lot of friends in the US that I can't wait to play with :D
So I want to make some kind of tag game, imagine a big diablo chasing a random player, diablo becomes faster and faster, the player can tag others to make diablo chase them. But ... how to make that more fun?
... Sweet Jesus (pun), I'm TOTALLY inspired by this idea!! Buffooned even!
I'd love to try to make a minimap with this idea. But with your permission first, do you mind if I steal your idea?
Here's what I have in mind in addition to your idea:
Make 1 player-controlled chaser named "RAARGH" who's going to chase players named "AAAAH"
Each player takes his turn as a RAARGH
I'll place doodads that block line of sight. Fixed and random ones.
4-15 players
At the end the scores are shown for best RAARGH and best AAAAH
What do you think? :)
Please please please if you allow me, I'm going to name it "Xenosteel's RAARGH" and I'll publish it to the EU realm, I'll greatly credit you for the inspiration. I'm going crazy over the idea, I think I won't be sleeping for a couple of days.
I know its probably a really noobish thing to ask, but I'm sick of googling and not finding an answer to this question.
If I submit a map to the EU realm, can US players play it? Vice-versa?
Based on my understanding so far, I'm assuming that the answer is "Yes" but since the map would not be popular on the US realms, there'd be nobody to play with (...Stupid custom map join system). Am I spot on?

I noticed that units have a capped "Stats - Sight Radius",something like 48. Whether I set it to 100 or 3000 is the same.
Can I break this cap?
I tried to make it a trigger but I'm not sure if there's an action for this... it should be Set Unit Property, but nothing there says Sight Radius.
EDIT: I also tried adding sight radius bonuses to a marine stimpack, and added day/night sight bonuses.. none worked :(
