Ya that would work fine, the problem is, I can't find how to close the gate. I got it to open up, but not close. I don't see any action to close it. Driving me crazy
Ok, now the real question. How do you determine if the gate is lowered or raised via triggers?
Team 1 Main Door
Events
Unit - Any Unit Enters a distance of 6.0 from Gate [48.00, 49.00]
Local Variables
Conditions
Actions
Unit - Order Gate [48.00, 49.00] to ( Open Gate) (Replace Existing Orders)
The above trigger opens the gate. I can't find a condition where it checks to see if gate I open or closed.
To be more specific, I want the door the lower when a unit approach it, then wait like 5 seconds or so, then close if no units are around.
That order for the specific gate works to open it, but I cannot find an order to close the gate. I loaded up the map from the campaign piercing the shroud to see how blizzard did it, but on their "shut door" triggers they have a no command/blank order issued and the gate closes... I tried copying that but it didn't work.
Ah I guess I was wrong too, yes players are draggable between teams in the lobby, but they never seem to reflect those changes when the game starts, IN ANY MAP.
There must be a way to customize who is on which team in the lobby...there just HAS to be.
GD IT BLIZZARD THIS WAS SO EASY TO DO IN STARCRAFT 1!!!!!!
Shit it was super easy in wc3 as well and this editor is very similar to that.
Ya your right. I just got done speaking with the creator of Nexus Wars and he also doesn't know how to make it work. Apparently not a single person knows how.
Its game varients. Set it to 4vs4 or something and lock it. Then make sure your custom mode is default. Right click on it on the first tab to make it default. Else it'll just use the blizzard's custom setting (which is always there).
I actually didn't know about the locking default. That is helpful, thanks. Still need main problem fixed though :\
Yea I made it so the team sizes are locked, but the players can be dragged in between the teams however the host pleases. The changes don't stick though once you get in game.
Exactly put for me as well. The LOBBY changes do NOT reflect in game. It's retarded. I've tried every variation testing multiple game variants and nothing works.
Ya that's what I'm saying. I've been trying to get this to work since the beta and no one knows. But I have seen maps like Nexus wars etc where it works.
Making a 5v5 game and need it to correspond. I know it can be done, if you look @ a map like nexus wars, it's 4v4 and what side u pick in lobby matches in game.
Has anyone come up with a solution to this yet? I would really like to publish my map on bnet, but the team you pick from the lobby doesn't reflect in game...

As dumb as it is, if you set a player's color to PINK, it will give you that error..... You can use light pink, but not pink...

Thanks also figured out you can do the same thing with the units that a doors. You have to issue them an order to lower the gate.

How do you make them open? I don't see any trigger to do it. There is also a total of 3 doors that I've found. Anyone know how?

No that doesn't work. It has something to do with the game variants I think.

Noice. Thanks dude! Was going to be severely disappointed if you couldn't use them.

I don't understand. I want to use the medic and the firebat for a custom map, and they are not in the editor... wtf?
