Hi can i use a catalog trigger to get to the actors "UI - Info Text" Field??
So i can take that info text and save it in a variable or put it out as a chat text?
How will the trigger look and how to use the catalog triggers?
On how to use catalogs i general, I'd recommend having a look at the tutorial section. There catalogs are explained better than I could ever do this.
With catalogs, you should be able to get any field you want (setting does not work for everything but I have yet to discover a field I can not get the data from)
Note, however, that not the text itself is stored in the field, but a text key string. You can get the according text using the StringExternal - function (thats the name in galaxy code, dunno the exact name in Gui) on the text key you received.
So answers to your questions would be: Yes, yes, depends on how you create it and have a look at the tutorials ;)

@Kueken531: Go
I have a little hard times understanding it. :X Can you show me an exsample of a trigger that gets the "UI - Info Text" and post it as a chat text?
@kongkim82: Go
I guess, you would like to have a solution in Gui?
This could be done in one line without the variables, but maybe its cleaner and easier to understand this way:
This displays the information of the marine after 2 seconds.
Explanation:

Any questions?

That helped ALOT :) I got it to work now on some units i made.
But i have one that keeps making an error. Du unit and actor need to have same name for it to work?
Yes it all works now. Item and actor just need to have the same name :)
Really THX ALOT :)
