i need help with a condition in witch only can be true if the number of zerglings in a region is less then 6 and then if they are less then 6 zeglings to spawn them at a random point form a set of points i have on the map ever 10 sec till the condition is false
for the condition part you could store the number of zerglings in the region using a variable(increment it by one when a zergling is created).
for the spawn part you could either use a lot of switch cases with a random number as input and set a point variable to that before you spawn the lings or
name all the spawn points like
"spawn1"
"spawn2"
"spawn3"
and so forth
then call something like spawn zergling at pointname("spawn"+random())
Im not sure where your having issue on this but its very basic as you've already spelling it out. Its just a period trigger with the conditions number of units in unit group < 6 and the action spawn unit at random point in region. A variable really isn't needed like xeno mentions unless you want specific point or set of points to choose from and you shouldn't be using it for a ling count as that then requires more triggers.
