I have a fully developed MOBA map I have built in the Starcraft community. It is called Baseship Commanders 5.0 and It is currently live on Battle.net with a 3 and a half star rating.
Although I have been working on this map for the last 5 years, I have done so by trial and error and with evolving ideas. Originally I designed it just for myself while I was dinking around and slowly but surely in transformed into a full blown idea.
I am not as experienced or have as much programming prowess as many people on here and that is why I am reaching out. My desire is to find a team of experienced programmers interested in taking the idea of my map but polishing the ideas of the map out. The current alpha state of the map is probably far too sloppy with the code and the data that it is probably recommended we start from scratch. Unless someone thinks they can clean the code up.
While I do want to contribute with general coding, and editing, I believe my contribution would probably be more in line with tossing in my creative ideas and vision for the map. I'm not sure at this point what that looks like. I know for a fact I still have a lot to learn and maybe this would be a good opportunity to do that, but I also am not sure how much time I would have.
If my time is so limited that all I can do is contribute my creative ideas and vision for the map then I would be happy enough to simply release this idea to the community and let the "Experts" take it and make it something amazing so long as we could discuss the general hero concepts as I have those already formulated. I think it certainly has potential to be more then it is. The issue then is finding people who would like to jump on board.

BASESHIP COMMANDERS 5.0
Destroy all enemy Oblivion Shrines. Will you be a Base Commander, or a Ship Commander?
BASE COMMANDERS: Build powerful custom defensive and offensive structures! Utilize your power as a Base Commander to equip Ship Commanders with powerful offensive and defensive buffs. Research new offensive technologies and abilities, create large armies of Super Soldiers and advance your team to victory!
SHIP COMMANDERS: Command 1 of 5 powerful warships capable of mass destruction! Each warship contains unique weapons and abilities. Upgrade nearly every aspect of your warship from engines, to shields, weapons, and abilities! Choose from the nimble Viper fighter, the powerful Mothership, the versatile Destroyer, the overwhelming Battlestar Carrier, or the sabatoging Assimilator.
There is obviously more but I wanted to post this to see if anyone was interested in the idea behind the map. Essentially the game is an 8 player game. Each side has 3 ships and a base commander, or 4 ships and shared control of a base commander. (More players and heros to be added over time)
The object of the game is like any other MOBA in which you must destroy the enemy's key towers (6 in all) The idea is a hybrid tower/base defense star battle. Base Commanders focus is on macro, while Ship Commanders need to micro. Base Commanders work like a tower defense game in which when a cooldown on a structure is finished, the structure is placed immediately. Upgrades are also available to every aspect of the game for base commanders as well as ship commanders. Base Commanders have powerful abilities in addition to building structures, (Giving emergency energy, health, or shields to ship commanders) researching new technologies or structures that are more powerful, and/or creating armies themselves. Each Ship obviously is designed to fulfill different roles. The heros need balancing work without totally obliterating the vision of the hero.
Hero inspirations.
Destroyer- Anti Base Commander / Tank (Idea behind this hero is a simple and easy to use hero with the least # of active abilities)
Mothership- A Starcraft Classic idea of what a Mothership should have been like.
Battlestar Carrier- Idea is focused on Battlestar Galactica OR just a general carrier- (This is not currently in the game but would like to take it there)
Viper- Idea is from the SNES / Arcade / Playstation 2 Gradius Ship Vic Viper T301. (Very close to the original with multiples, missiles, shields etc.)
Assimilator- Idea is from Star Trek Borg Cubes (Hero focused on trickery and sabotage)
Base Commander- The basic idea of the Base Commander is to be a team leader for the Ship Commanders. Some of its structures and ideas come from Total Annihilation
Up and coming hero- Leviathan: A giant zerg ship which will spawn swarms of units and have some silencing and plague abilities. Just because every SC ship MOBA needs some kinda of Zerg ship right?
Anyone interested in this or interested in helping me out or pointing me in the right direction, please respond!
