You can create a Game Attribute with several values and visibility and access of None making it hidden. You can then set your Game Variant to use a value of this attribute under the Game Attributes tab. You can then use the condition I mentioned.

Use If Then Else or Switch actions on Game - Map Initialization that have a condition of the type Attribute Game Value. Based on the selected value you can then use Set Variable, Run Trigger or Turn Trigger On/Off actions to get the desired responses.
