My "reviews" were/are on hold until Tuesday. Will begin again tomorrow. Thanks for the interest! Glad to know that my aimless British rambling isn't lost on my microphone.
I can't understand any of this. The accent is too thick.
I recommend my map, Malum Ruina, for review. It's a deception/survival map set in a mining colony. It's just recently been published to Europe under the title "Malum Ruina EU." Recommended players are 7 or more.
The gist of the map is that one person is randomly chosen to be the Alien, a malicious creature bent on consuming all of humanity. The Alien looks in every way like a human until it mutates into its true form. The Alien can turn humans into spawns which can also switch between human and alien form, with the goal being to kill or spawn every other human. Each human has his own role, such as Commander, Guard, or Medic, each with its own unique traits and abilities. There is also a Psion role, which is sort of an independent faction in itself that can choose whether to help the alien, the humans, or go solo. The Psion has its own ability tree and becomes stronger in time.
The Psion and the Alien both gain Evo gradually over time. This can be enhanced by performing certain tasks, such as using abilities as the Psion (which can reveal the Psion's identity if not used carefully) or by laying eggs as the Alien, which generate Evo but leave the Alien vulnerable if they are killed.
Malum Ruina has a lot of neat little features that I haven't seen a whole lot in the custom map community, such as vehicles that can be boarded and driven around and a dynamic navigation system to help players find their way around the map. The minimap also homes in on the player's unit for finding your way around Malum Ruina's plethora of building interiors and underground tunnels. There's even a command to vote on a new lighting scheme if you feel so inclined.
I hope you consider this map for review. I've certainly put a lot of time into it, and I would love for it to become noticed in the EU realm (and US for that matter!)
