The only thing I would suggest to be changed is the shadow. The green-blueish shadow of the archon model fits to the blue model but not to the red one. If you change just that, you have improved it a lot =)
Oh, and when I'm at it, i noticed something else. The red of the shoulder pauldrons are red in the exact same intensity as is the "ball". Look at the blue archon model: the shoulder pauldrons are colored just a little bit darker than the "aura" to make them distinguishible. I would like it if you could create the same effect on your archon model, seeing that a lot of detail there gets lost. By the way, from the pictures I'm unsure if you recolored the shoulder pauldrons because sometimes they are blue, some times red... If not, please do! Blue shoulders on a red model = no-no!
