indeed it has and took me less than 30 minutes to implement
go into wherever you are currently assigning your team selection. In my case for the map Conquest I was using a game attribute, I have simply changed it to *Assigns Team1*
Player Group - Pick each player in (Players on team 1) and do (Actions)
Actions
General - If (Conditions) then do (Actions) else do (Actions)
If
(Controller of player (Picked player)) == User
Then
Player Group - Add player (Picked player) to Team1Players
Variable - Set NumberOfPlayers[1] = (Number of players in Team1Players)
Else *Assigns Team2*
Player Group - Pick each player in (Players on team 2) and do (Actions)
Actions
General - If (Conditions) then do (Actions) else do (Actions)
If
(Controller of player (Picked player)) == User
Then
Player Group - Add player (Picked player) to Team2Players
Variable - Set NumberOfPlayers[2] = (Number of players in Team2Players)
Else *For my map this section is essential for testing, By default if you 'test' your map your player will NOT be assigned to any team, so manually assign them if no players are found on any team*
General - If (Conditions) then do (Actions) else do (Actions)
If
And
Conditions
NumberOfPlayers[1] == 0
NumberOfPlayers[2] == 0
Then
Player Group - Add player 1 to Team1Players
Variable - Set NumberOfPlayers[1] = (Number of players in Team1Players)
Else
EDIT: Formatting????
This trigger works. You have to re-format your triggers to be based around the new player numbers using a trigger array, but it all works out nicely.
Ah I guess I was wrong too, yes players are draggable between teams in the lobby, but they never seem to reflect those changes when the game starts, IN ANY MAP.
There must be a way to customize who is on which team in the lobby...there just HAS to be.
GD IT BLIZZARD THIS WAS SO EASY TO DO IN STARCRAFT 1!!!!!!
Shit it was super easy in wc3 as well and this editor is very similar to that.
Ya your right. I just got done speaking with the creator of Nexus Wars and he also doesn't know how to make it work. Apparently not a single person knows how.
Its game varients. Set it to 4vs4 or something and lock it. Then make sure your custom mode is default. Right click on it on the first tab to make it default. Else it'll just use the blizzard's custom setting (which is always there).
I actually didn't know about the locking default. That is helpful, thanks. Still need main problem fixed though :\
Yea I made it so the team sizes are locked, but the players can be dragged in between the teams however the host pleases. The changes don't stick though once you get in game.
Exactly put for me as well. The LOBBY changes do NOT reflect in game. It's retarded. I've tried every variation testing multiple game variants and nothing works.
Ya that's what I'm saying. I've been trying to get this to work since the beta and no one knows. But I have seen maps like Nexus wars etc where it works.
Making a 5v5 game and need it to correspond. I know it can be done, if you look @ a map like nexus wars, it's 4v4 and what side u pick in lobby matches in game.

No that doesn't work. It has something to do with the game variants I think.
