I have not tried yet but do you think we can modify it via Catalog Field Set Value trigger?
No way, catalogs generally can be used to modify data editor fields. Which field do you want to modify in this case? Its not possible to change dynamic things, like for example cooldowns, ability charges or those learning points using catalogs.
He should try harder. ;P I just tried it, and it worked... juuuust not in the way he wants, now that I reread it. Well, sorry for intruding then. I'm unfamiliar with the 'Hero' system right now. *walks off* Although... if you aren't stuck on using the built-in hero system, you could give hidden 'Custom Resources' for each level up, and then just have the ability have a cost. Just a possibility.
It indeed works nicely for charged abilities (you can even use cost like 1.5 charges :D) , but unfortunately, thats not what we were talking about. The custom resource however could work as a dirty workaround.
Hmmmm you could hide the ability till the level required has been purchased. Eg, just add a behaviour to the unit and when that behaviour buff gets to 4-5 use trigger to show the ultimate ability
I seem to be a bit outnumbered here, but I'm pretty sure it is possible. Under the Info+, there is a variable called 'Charge - Use'. If I recall correctly, modifying that will alter the used charges.
I tried to figure this out myself, from my current point of knowledge it is impossible. Afaik it is not even possible to access or set the remaining points somehow using data or triggers, so you cannot even create some kind of workaround other than simulating the whole learning process.

Ah, misunderstood what you meant. Still a very dirty workaround xD

Well, this would not consume 3 points, though...
Does not work, sorry :(
