I really disliked the first chapter, would I enjoy the others? They sound a little better. MI3 was probably my fave.
Well, yeah. I'm on chapter 5 right now. Chapter 1 wasn't that fun.
Chapter 2 is in the mermaid village. There's another boring jungle, you might not find that chapter much fun if you didn't like the first.
Chapter 3 inside the Manatee was fun. There is some creative puzzles. I loved the voodoo one where you have to play with the tarot cards to make spells based on the combination of images. You have to get out of the giant Manatee and then help him to procreate with a female. The credits above is from chapter 3.
Chapter 4 is in court. I laughed so hard when Stan shows up as the lawyer (if you don't know, Stan is a character that follows a motto "A.D.B: Always Do Business." So, he starts a different business in every game). The chapter was okay when you are already into the story. Then you die and chapter 5 is in hell. I just started that one.
MI3 definitely had one of the most creative puzzles. That was a great game. They released a special edition of the first and second, which is the whole game redone with new technology (even for iphone). I'm still waiting them to make a special edition of MI3.
To those who have never played it, try MI3: The Curse of Monkey Island or MI4: Escape from Monkey Island.
This is "Tales of Monkey Island"
It's a new one recently released. The plot is quite good. Telltale might some bad game designers, but they have amazing script writers, video producers, sound editors, and all other artists. I play more as watching a movie in bed than as a game. You can play entirely by mouse, so I can just lay down, put the screen on the TV, and use a wireless mouse. One chapter is inside a whale. One chapter is in court. One chapter is in hell (yeah, you die). Le'Chuck is now Guybrush's best friend. The villain is a mad French scientist (who is not French). And a lot more about the Voodoo lady is revealed... I'm not going to spoil.
I think the best to start Monkey island is with the special edition of the first one. The special edition was released recently and is just the old version with new sound and graphics (it's on Steam).
Special animations after credit and an evil skull making fun of programmers without their concern (it was not on the script). I laughed when he asked a worker to leave the company haha. That was the first time I enjoyed watching the credits of a game.
