The point isnt wheter the map is stellar or not. Its that in wc3 you could play WHAT YOU WANT. in sc2 you cant. You have to play what others want to play. Example who the fuck would play escape from gay heaven for 10000h, its a game you come back to every now and then....
Wheter the maps at top are 95% better than other maps is irrelevant. It boosts and support only certain types of maps.
second point would be to actually able to test 6+ players map in other day than mapnight. Admid it or not, but testing is huge part of the development.
If you fail to realize all these things....you are "insert word here" (Ill refrain myself from being mean this time)
I wonder how many times I have to post same things over and over again before I can make people understand....probly years of work...
I was actually ready to make proper explanation of my toughts with pictures and all, but since its calmed down I dont need to do that. Also from the UI standpoint I do not like bnet 2.0 at all. You can actually resize the windows but even with that its quite bad. You can see the backround of stuff in the chat and it still leaves around 20-40% of useless space. Where in wc3 I think everything was placed correctly and you could still easilly acces everything you needed to. Just the overal structure feels off and unefficient. Do you really need to have melee settings take 50% of the screen?
The custom game UI is also its own world. Why do you need 7 tabs when you can do it with 1 drop down menu (or they could add more specific button to set search filters). I suppose the Fun and not and up & coming tabs could be cool if blizzard would actually fix them...but seems like they will only add the changes to HOTS. But currenly I have to think those tabs are useless since up and coming is always 50% filled with battlecraft with same game variants (and yea the game variants are also one of the biggest fails ever).
At launch the bnet was sooooooooooo bad that its hard to forgive for that. They have fixed some of the issues like (chat channels, countdowns stop, custom game variant removal), but this is hardly something you can expect after wc3.
sight...you cannot see how multiple functions could be integrated? I only stay on 1 channel on bnet anyway so I have need for multiple windows. Yes ofc multi window is natural develpoment but not being able to resize or write any commands is bullshit. Yes I would actully prefer joining channels with /j sc2mapster than clicking the windows and so on...yes I would like to use /whisper at sometimes cause I want to arange games with people but I cannot contact them in anyway if they arent on my friendlist and we happen to drop from a game. And if its just about speed Im quite certain Ill join faster with /j sotis that with click click sotis enter (for example).
YET AGAIN you fail to see what could be done and hasnt been done. In wc3 you only saw what people were playing if both parties added each other and even that could be easilly just added function to hide all the info or not to hide...you are the one who is thinking so narrow minded.
Im sorry for asuming you could see how it should have been developed. There was no need to remove the functions when you could just improve them, but I guess some people are just stupid/blizzard fanboys.
And its just the overal feeling combined in wc3 was better, everyone who played wc3 should agree, it could be the community was better or bnet had features and such but overal it was better experience.
With just minor tweaking it would have been just fine...Im really dissapointed how you fail to see these things.
from day1 of starcraft Iv said wc3 bnet was better, there is no other way around it. (if you couldnt invite friends to a game and such are kinda minor problems that wc3 had)
Its so sad how everything they had achieved went down the drain. I cant even imagine HOTS bnet improving by a lot. It will probly be a little bit better but (clan support, tournaments, better chat channels, better friendlist are a huge thing! and I doubt they will add any of those) I liked how in wc3 you could even see what people are actually playing instead of now you have to be "real ID" friends to see that. The real ID thing is one of the biggest bullshit things ever! Why do they limit things in such a stupid way.
Also I hate the thing that you cannot even write /join chat channel or such commands in sc2 chat or /w somebody...wtf is up with that?!?! The joining channels is also bullshit. Why cant they give us option to bookmark channels and join from there if you so desire (sorta like firefox UI would be sorta nice, draging below search bar). Even though you couldnt be in multichannels on wc3 the chat channels still were superior....
once I get going on this subject its hard to stop...

Yea I totally agree with this. It just so much better only missing few search functions here and there and some other minor things.
