Should've clarified: I'd love an epic boss fight for a final mission, as in going in to kill the boss with one or more powerful heroes, not defending a base against it until the timer's up.
If the final mission is "All Races VS Amon", then I have a feeling it'll be like the final mission from Reign of Chaos, just replace Humans with Terrans, Orcs with Zerg, Night Elves with Protoss and Undead with Amon's goons! I'd love an epic boss fight, though.
Really cool stuff there, those vids are getting me hyped for LotV. Also, that Hybrid slowly floating to the Protoss Ship in one of Computer1194's vids looked funny to me, dunno why. :P
Shame there will be no new MP units, was kinda the norm for Blizz expansions, but I can see how it'd be a nightmare to balance that it currently is if even more units were in.
On another note, I'm really looking forward to Mercenary-type or Evolution Strain-type units for 'Toss, hopefully with some new exotic features (like Strains) rather than just +stats (like Mercenaries).
@Crazio: Go Well, SC1 had only 10~ missions per campaign, which left even less space for character development (total of 60~ missions compared to a total of 90~ or so), but it was pulled off better than in SC2 (imo). It also didn't have any hub like the Hyperion and the Leviathan, which are a pretty good source for some more char development.
Another issue with SC2, in my opinion, is that Strategy is mostly about memorizing. Following a build and pulling it off at the exact specific time(s) seems to get desired results, from what I've seen/played. It always felt like there was a wider range of options to work with in WC3, for example, and a build would still work efficiently even if you followed it loosely than step-by-step. That made watching matches more exciting (for me, at least), since you didn't -definitely- know if a player would go for X or Y.
@Gradius12: Go That was aninteresting read, wonder how I didn't even notice/think of most of the things mentioned there while playing WoL. Guess gameplay was good enough for my brain to ignore (most of) them. Any similar review for HotS?
@Crazio: Go A civil war between Protoss tribes that lead to the departure of the Xel'naga (or was it their departure that lead to the war? don't really remember)
It'd probably help too if the Aeon of Strife never occurred, so that the Xel'naga could continue overseeing how the Protoss develop.
I doubt we'll be seeing any new playable factions in SC3, though, at least not in multiplayer. Then again, SC3 will probably happen in 20-30 years, so, who knows?
I think Brutal should live up to its name, but not be something only a very small percent of the playerbase can beat. Something along the lines of WoL (or slightly harder/easier) would be fine, imo.
(Thumbs up for "Click every target on the screen (0/5000)" objective. :P)
@GhostNova91: Go That would be pretty sweet, hell, was expecting HotS to be done that way.
Though, I hope LotV is just as/a little bit harder than WoL, with the last mission being something on the difficulty level of Omega from BW or the final level from WC3:TFT. :D
It may be me, but 19~ missions feels like a pretty small number to tell the main story of LotV and unite all of the clans, but then again Kerry reunited the entire swarm in just 14~ missions.
Though, I hope that out of the 30 levels most of them are actual missions, while unit testruns (like the Evolution Missions in HotS), if there are any, aren't counted as missions.
Raynor has the dominion on his back, thinking Valerian is his puppet, but it soon becomes clear Junior and the terran factions have their usual exit plan made up if things go sour.
This makes me think if Valerian has his own agenda now that his father is overthrown. He also kinda reminds me of Arthas from Warcraft; has good intentions, ends up killing his father and then takes the kingdom by force. So far he's followed into those two steps (well, he was connected to his father's death, didn't kill him himself), so, I wonder if now he'll become an equally bad or worse tyrant that Arcturus was.
Also, I REALLY hope there's new Hybrid models done for LotV, along with them being the "final bosses" of the campaign. It'll be disappointing if it's something like "Tal'darim + Enslaved Zerg + the 2 Hybrid types we've already seen and fought + Amon".
9. The arcade will be dead due to too little too late.
I have my doubts the Arcade will die, at least not anytime soon, especially if they allow starter edition players access to it. Hell, even WC3 is still alive mod-wise :P
@Monkalizer: Go I hope to see more games being built on the SC2 Engine after Heroes of the Storm, it'd not only save the time of making a new engine/revamping an old engine for them, but also mean the game built on it would very likely be moddable, and skills obtained from SC2 modding could transfer over to it. :)

A pimp skin for Abathur needs to be made when HotStorm is out. :P
