Nope, thats why it was added in Starcraft 2 BECAUSE Blizzard got greedy on that, and they targeted the wrong thing, they would have won if they had targeted likeness of units instead of the game itself. :P
anyways.
Deletarius Popped in for a few. and he said the startools is all that they have, they have nothing else, its the exact same thing that they have :P. so THEY DO NOT HAVE AN IMPORTER :P. so don't expect one from them.
yeah but still... Posting we own everything you create is kind of a dick move... and by posting this they have restricted mappers, because now if a Copyrighted unit is created for example Goku, and then that copy holder can have blizzard remove it. But if it wasn't restricted like that then a modeler could claim its a spoof or parody of the unit and be protected.
I am just saying there are other ways of protecting them... and they had no right to own DoTA anyways.. they didnt create it, they did have the rights to the units though. just not the game, for example, Say checkers had never been invented but I created it using Chess pieces should the makers of Chess have ownership of my new game :P. that's, its just a dick move... That being said I knew they had done that crap before I had started mapping, but it is VERY annoying. and they have shown that if you make something amazing THEY WILL CLAIM OWNERSHIP even if they had no part in the creation of it.

3.C. You are entitled to use the Program for your own use, but you are not entitled to: (i) sell, grant a security interest in or transfer reproductions of the Program, or any New Materials, to other parties in any way, nor to rent, lease or license the Program or any New Materials to others without the prior written consent of Blizzard;

This sounds like something that could be easily solved by a blue post on battle.net.
If I understand the art tools license correctly, then:
Users are not allowed to upload their models to sc2mapster!
Users are not allowed to make models for other people!
Users are not allowed to show their models!
Users are not allowed to upload maps with their selfmade models to SC2mapster!
The only thing you seem to be allowed to do with your work is to give it to Blizzard... I seriously hope that they release the final art tools under a less restrictive license...
I searched through it and read it twice but couldn't find anything like that, could you reference the sections so I know where to look?
ahhh, makes sense :P I have the art tools but I got them so I could give them away if an esteemed modeler didnt get them :P. haha, which Is actually allowed in the license :P. But I also wanted to check out a few things in the documentation.
What if the other person also has the art tools ? :P
All title, ownership rights and intellectual property rights in and to the Program, including but not limited to the art assets that are incorporated into the Program, as well as any and all copies thereof and any New Materials (including but not limited to any titles, computer code, themes, objects, characters, character names, stories, dialog, catch phrases, locations, concepts, artwork, animations, sounds, musical compositions, audio-visual effects, methods of operation, moral rights, any related documentation, and "applets" incorporated into the Program) are owned by Blizzard or its licensors.
Wtf blizzard.... seriously... this is the 2nd fucking time you have done this kind of bullshit.
@xcorbo: Go
