That's what I'm trying to avoid. He specifically said that he got it to work with the far clip at default. Thing is when I used your tutorial and put it in the center of the map, that's when I was only able to see the skybox from an area in the bottom left of the map. I was actually able to cross the skybox like a threshold and see it on one side of the plane but not the other.
Edit: No matter where on the map I put the point and no matter the angle I use (create actor at point facing angle) the threashold is always in the same spot facing the same way.

OK ... if you have seen "project vector" they do something similiar... what they do is they move that "skybox actor around" with the camera... so if the camera moves to a different spot they move the actor there.... that should make it so you dont have to set the farclip up.... but I havent tested it yet... my newest map will be attempting to do it this way though
from your screen shot that doesnt look like a skybox model
Okay I've decided to use a skybox for a cinamatic scene in my rpg problem is that doodads that hang over the map bounds appear black instead of there natural colors. Do you know a fix for this?

not exactly sure about how you manage that..... as in "the skybox appears to be black like it isnt there".... sounds like far clip.....
