I would like to discuss and brainstorm ideas on loosely recreating the starcraft 1 game campaign levels on sc2. Maybe people who have already started on recreating sc1 levels can collaborate?
Each level will have new story and challenges and achievements but still tie into the SC canon. For example, the 1st level, Boot camp will be a large military base that introduces a few units while teaching the player how to build a small base. (Compared to the original level where it asks you just to train some marines)
My plan is to share the same story but have the gameplay DRASTICALLY changed. Another example is when edmund duke crashes on tarsonis level, players this time around will have to survive for 30 mins using only a handful of units. Once raynor arrives with the calvary, Edmunds forces (you) must take the high ground and protect the transport through the canyon. (you don't control raynor this time)
