So many of you who worked with warcraft 3 files do remember this changing main menu trick by placing mdl file right into directory of the game and executing .reg file
since then any file within the directory of the game will be overlaying ones from original mpq archives... this trick became one of the best tool for testing content and even making offline mods
this is litteraly the whole code from the .reg file
well in fact the same thing did the war3 engine, as long as you don't change in game mechanics while playing with real person it works, but if you change files such as units list, the engine finds difference compare to your opponent, the game crashes
the difference between war3 and sc2 archives, that the second one has checksum file
and i don't fear ban really =)

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III]
"Allow Local Files"=dword:00000001
any ideas how to do such thing with starcraft 2?
already tried to change original archives but when i start starcraft.exe it just updates archives...
tried to open *-md5.lst(i assume the checksum is there) file in every archive but it failed =((
@Razorfield: Go SC2 was not made to support "offline mods" and in fact it could be considered hacking, and could possibly be punished with a ban.
